We came in the day before we stayed, asked how much for one night. We were quoted a rate. We booked, returned for our one nights stay, upon check out the price we were quoted was inflated by $40. We asked to see the manager, who was a "Nun", was stern, rude and would not honor the quoted rate. The...

Spent three nights in this beautiful hostel. The dorms were wonderfully clean and quiet, the building is beautiful, and the staff is efficient and informative. The views from the roof are fantastic and the breakfast is worth the additional expense of this place above other hostels in the area. I really felt at home. Be warned that they don't take...

The location is excellent - inside the City Walls and everything was within a short walking distance. The building is excellent with "a lot of history", a great view from the roofrop to the Old City, nice garden etc. The rooms are clean, even the shared bathroom was spotless. The dorm room was spacious. The breakfast was good - everything...

This is place is a gem! Located within the city walls, it is ideal for anyone visiting the sights of the old city. Despite what I had read in previous reviews, we found the service to be excellent, remembering that the staff are mainly 18 or 19. Our room was large with everything we needed. The breakfast, while simple, was...

I spent a week there and it was excellent. I went for the dormitory beds, which were a decent price and comfortable. The breakfast is good, and the facilities were quite nice. The desk closes at 10 p.m, but you can get a special night key if you want to stay out later. It's a beautiful building and the staff...

I'm a solo woman traveller and was really, really impressed with my stay at the Austrian Hospice. I stayed in the female only dorm (they are single sex dorms) for 4 nights for around 20 Euro a night including a typical Austrian breakfast. The bathroom was absolutely spotless, as was the dorm. I felt safe and my belongings were secure...

The hospice surprised us for the incredible advantageous price/service! We paid 84 euros but, in my opinion, it was worth three times the price. Rooms are very clean and in december were heated during night (very important). The building is outstanding. Organization of meals and cleanliness are just perfect. My advice: book at least six months in advance and enjoy...

We stayed here for 4nights because Ecce Hommo was full but considered it due to high reviews. The good: -rooms and bathrooms are spacious, modern and even felt luxurious and elegant. This is due to being an ex-Austrian embassy. -the meals are great. -great view of the old city of Jerusalem. -staff are professional -great appeal to German speaking visitors....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Austrian Hospice . Right in the Old City , not far from the Damascus Gate . An oasis of peace and quiet amidst the bustle and noise of the Arab Quarter . There is a mosque right by , and the calls to prayer are very audible . So take ear plugs for...

The service was good and staff friendly enough. The room was bigger than expected with 3 separate beds. Very simple, but comfortable and clean. On the other hand, bathroom was small, and the toilet did not work. It was fixed only the next day after asking reception several times. Our room had a view to the main "street" and it...
