The Beit Shmuel House located near the King David Hotel and the YMCA in Jerusalem serve multiple functions: it is a pleasant, small non expensive Hotel with a garden and a magnificent view of Jerusalem from its terrace. It is also a cultural meeting place where Lectures, Music and Theater performances take place frequently and recently opened a cinema for...

We had been invited to a wedding and Bar Mitzah by Jewish friends of long standing. We were given a spacious , clean hotel room with good en suite bathroom. Nice breakfast and all staff were friendly , efficient and helpful. The location is good within walking distance of many of the attractions of Jerusalem. There is also a hostel...

My lady and I were told about Beit Shmuel by a friend to whom we now owe a debt -- or a good dinner. We had a hostel room that would accommodate, I think, six. No frills. Very comfortable -- ours had a postcard view of the old city. No pool -- who needs it? No spa -- So what?...

Essentially a youth hostel, noisy and a bit grimy. Good breakfast, very well located. A group of teens may love this but was not for our family. We tried to move elsewhere on the last night but they refused to refund money. They did give us better hotel styled room that was much cleaner but still very very noisy as...

Also, Food is quite poor. So dont come hear...

We have just returned from spending a weekend in Jerusalem with my children and grandchildren staying at this place. The rooms were clean and bright. The breakfasts were generous and the staff were very helpful. We had adjacent rooms on floor 3 and there was a large communal space with a large table, dining chairs and sofas. The children used...

I've spent just one night at the guest house and 7 nights at the youth hostel in the same building - the difference is dramatic! Room was newly renovated, super clean bathroom with marble tiling, comfortable beds, great side view of the city (also not too much sun, but just enough), privacy guaranteed as it was a corner room. Other...

Rooms are very comfortable and clean, and most sights are within walking distance....Sleeping quality on their beds was excellent for me after three weeks of hectic time in southern Israel..Food was very good, and each floor has a lobby where you can serve yourself a sip of coffee or tea...do emails...wireless...

The very best location in Jerusalem and a real bargain! The hotel rooms (not the hostel rooms) are designed by the same guy as the Citadel Hotel next door and the views of the Old City are better than at the King David. An Israeli breakfast is included. While there is no bar or room service, you can easily walk...
