Great location near the Damascus Gate and across from the Garden Tomb. Family run with excellent service. Nice restaurant and lots of character. Recently renovated hotel during pandemic. Reasonable and fair price in an expensive city for accommodations.

Hotel's Favourite
I am so glad we picked this hotel for our stay in Jerusalem! The only thing I’m sorry is we only stayed there for one night! This is a small family run hotel, and let me tell you - they really do make you feel like a part of their family. Not in a phony way of a large hotel chain, but in a real human way. The owner and everyone who works there create a real connection. Upon arrival, we were offered to relax and have complimentary drinks in the restaurant. This is before we checked in, or performed any other formalities. The owner personally took me to the parking lot, and even asked if I wanted him to drive his car there, so that we don’t have to walk back (it’s really just a 2 minute walk). Later we asked what time is the breakfast. The response was that we will be fed no matter what time we would come, even after the official breakfast is over. The place is uniquely decorated, and you can feel how much love went into every detail. And the location is superb - just a 10 minute walk from the walls of the old city. I would not stay in any other hotel in Jerusalem, and I’m looking forward to the next time in Jerusalem Hotel!

My wife and I just returned home from a visit to Jerusalem and we were thrilled to get to stay at the Jerusalem Hotel. From the friendly staff to the central location and delicious on-site restaurant, we absolutely fell in love with this hotel. The building itself is stunning with its stone walls and artwork. It is steps from the Garden Tomb and Damascus Gate, and we so enjoyed hearing the daily prayer call in our room from the local mosque. In all, I cannot recommend the Jerusalem Hotel enough! They went above and beyond, even offering us breakfast at 2:30 am the morning that we left for a tour of Cairo!

We met great hospitality, and excellent varied breakfasts; every day, we could find something new on the buffet, exciting and delicious. We spent eight beautiful days with the children in a spotless hotel, located 3 minutes from the old town and gave a fantastic sense of security. Thank you very much to Rober for excellent contact, for preparing a surprise for my daughter's birthday and for exceptional care for us. Thank you, and I hope to see you.

I loved my room. Staying in an old, beautiful, stone lined hotel was a glimpse into old Palestine. The food at the restaurant was delicious with excellent service. The owners helped me with my traveling agenda instructing me on public transportation and helping me with taxis. I will definitely return for my next stay! Try to stay on the first floor as the walk up the stairs isn’t easy with luggage

After a magical family stay in the spring, we looked forward to returning to the Jerusalem Hotel for a night this fall, and it was just as marvelous as before. The staff are so hospitable and warm. They did everything to make us feel like we were at home with friends. We had a different room that was as lovely as the last one. The whole hotel is like a museum - everywhere your eye turns is some historic beautiful object. We walked just a few steps into the old city through the Damascus Gate, and after the day we enjoyed a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant with the guidance of our server. I can’t wait to visit again!

We stayed 4 nights in this wonderful oasis from the busy city of Jerusalem. The rooms have so much ambiance and character. The hotel is quaint. Breakfast is delicious and the dinner menu is fantastic. We loved our stay at this hotel and it will be where we spend our next visit to Jerusalem and Israel.

Feel so lucky to have found this wonderful hotel. Amazing stay from start to finish. From the lovely family (and friends!) who run the place to the gorgeous setting. We loved the decor and our room felt very special. Breakfast was fantastic (we liked it so much we came for dinner also!) Oh and the location could not have been more convenient. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

After going to Jerusalem for the first time in 2019 and picking Jerusalem Hotel, the staff was so wonderful and welcoming, I came back this past May 2022 and brought a small group from my church. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the accommodations, food, and hospitality. It is like staying in Aladdin’s Lamp only modernized! It is only a 7 minute walk from the Damascus Gate, so it’s very conveniently located. Their generosity and care for us made everybody feel at home. We consider Jerusalem Hotel our “home away from home” there. In fact, now that the our group is back, there is already interest in coming back again, and, of course, we would stay at the Jerusalem Hotel!
