Excellent hotel with wonderful and caring staff. We had a particularly great experience with Abeer, who took very good care of us throughout our entire stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast each morning was authentic to the region and tasted great, thanks to Chef Abu George and his team led by Tarek. I highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Notre Dame Guest House. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the views of Jerusalem from the roof terrace, and drank excellent coffee in the Allegro coffee shop. The food was very good - beautiful salads and a wide range of local dishes. Breakfast was particularly good with some unusual local foods and pastries as well as standard breakfast foods. It would be nice to know what some of the local foods were called. This was my third stay in the guest house and I will certainly be back. Apart from anything else I have not yet managed to fit in a foot massage !

This hotel is a stone's throw away from the New Gate entrance to the Old City which is a great place to start when exploring the Old City. It is also close to the light railway (tram) station. The hotel has a large roof terrace with unparalleled views over the Old City and Jerusalem. It is a beautiful building with well equipped rooms and comfortable beds and high quality bedding ( I slept as well as I would at home). The staff are friendly and excellent. The facilities are good. It has got a soul which the big commercial hotels cannot replicate. It must be one of the best places to stay in Jerusalem

The location is perfect, and the exterior of the building is beautiful. Our 3rd floor room was clean but quite austere, reminding me of a college dorm. There is one very small elevator to service an entire wing of the building (maximum 4 people with minimal luggage). Other highlights include 2 twin beds pushed together (rather than a double, queen, or king), no air conditioning (fan only), 1 pillow per bed, and water and toiletries (including soap) on the first day only (we stayed 5 days). Shampoo, lotion, and body wash only - no conditioner, so be sure to bring your own. Some outlets were non-functional. Shower is extremely small, bathroom lighting is poor. Fortunately, we aren’t TV watchers, because there wasn’t one. There was no iron and board, but you could go to an “ironing room” if needed. Daily maid service was very limited. Overall, we’ve had better service and accommodations at budget chains.

Exellent work for Abeer on the reception. Congrat, she is fantastic as always. I am very happy when I get there, I feel like home. extraordinary services and a special word for Luai and Abeer. Very good professionals. Unfortunately, among the new ones, Nicole at the reception leaves a lot to be desired, but I wish her success, maybe she manages to change.

The hotel was very nice from the outside. It has a very old feeling with old furniture. It is located in the very central part of town near the new gate. The room however, was very stuffy and dusty as you could not open windows. They were also small. We got a room for three and we had a couch bed. For that bed they did not give us blankets. In the evening we asked if they could give us blankets but they refused. There breakfast was nothing special and they were strict about closing hours. The balcony dinner was amazing but it wasn’t included in the hotel price so you have to pay. They also tell you, that you have to leave ten minutes before checkout hours. The rest of the staff is nice and they have a luggage room for your luggage which they offer to keep even after checkout. In total it is overpriced for what it is worth.

While I was preparing my daughter's meal, I dropped her food on the floor. I felt quite stressed as there wasn't much time left till the bus departure. The staff were so helpful and polite. When we got back to our room, I found fruit and nuts there. Such a lovely gesture! Thank you!

The Notre Dame Guest House is a short walk from New Gate and the Christian quarter of Jerusalem, with easy access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We visited as part of a Catholic pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The food was excellent, and the house wines are quite affordable at $20/bottle. The restaurant service was unfailingly good. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Jerusalem near great shopping and a variety of restaurants. The service was excellent. The bar and restaurants on the top floor provide one of the best views of the city anywhere.

We visited Jerusalem on pilgrimage and spent two nights here — and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The hospitality, cleanliness, attentiveness, accommodations and food — oh, the food!!! — were all exemplary. And you can't beat the location, just steps from old Jerusalem and the holy sites. We also appreciated having a gorgeous chapel in the hotel for Mass and prayer time. If you're headed to the Holy Land, don't even consider staying anywhere else in Jerusalem. None will compare with this. Go. You can thank me later.
