I stayed at the Metropole in Jerusalem for eight days. This hotel is in desperate need of renovating, however, the employees more than make up for it. This hotel is in the heart of a Palestinian neighborhood although I had no problems with anyone. The street it`s located on is not the cleanest and there is a mosque a block...

Overall reasonable for a short term visitor. Lift very small, although adequate for 1-2 persons with luggage. Toilet space cramped. Heating & hot water good. Clean, safe & not noisy. Comfortable beds. Buffet breakfast reasonable. Free wifi good. No in room tea/coffee making facilities or hairdryer. Very good location, close to the Old City & shops.

I booked and paid for the hotel through Expedia.com. When I arrived there, the reception told me that they had given away my room. They sent me to stay at a hotel oposit, a much lower standard hotel than what I prepared myself for.

We travelled as a family of 5 in June 2014. Location is very, very good. Slightly better than Hotel Victoria (different review). Better breakfast (but slower service). Better bedroom, pillows, and sheets (but more paint peeling/discoloration) Worse bathrooms (come on, man - used soaps and shampoos?!?!) I honestly would rate these hotels higher if they didn't charge so much (and...

It was dissapointing not to have wi-fi in rooms, but the location near the old city made up for it. Exotic a bit, not for everyone, i loved the location, very historical and interesting. food was really good and rooms and not clean, not fancy. ALL ABOUT THE LOCATION!

Average hotel in an excellent area for visiting the Old City of Jerusalem. They served very good food, but the facilities were mediocre (bathroom smelled). I'd prefer to go there in a group, just to feel secure.

This is a relatively good hotel in an amazing location. It is merely a few hundred metres away from the walls of the ancient city of old Jerusalem. The rooms and lobby is clean, and the service is good. Breakfast is inclusive in the price and features a good array of food from around the world. The breakfast here is...

We were nothing short of mortified by this hotel. It's a 1 start facility similar to what is known as a MOTEL in the USA. There was NO heat, holes in the walls and windows, very loud hallways, and aesthetically a dump. The internet hardly worked and that too only in parts of the lobby. The breakfast was weak too,...
