The hotel is well placed. We were there for a shabat (Saturday) On the evening our telephone disappeared from our room. One of the team (itamar) checked the video but he didn’t find nothing. The next day (Sunday) they told me the cleaning team tried to find it but nothing also. We left. But on Monday we’ve got a WhatsApp that someone uses a pay application. So someone found it. I called the hotel but they can’t do anything. Only call the police. The ceo never called us. Bad experience.

So much potential at this beautiful building in an extraordinary location. But as others have noted, there is an air conditioning problem. This issue is clearly known and hasn't been resolved. We arrived to a hot deluxe family room that was otherwise lovely. Breakfast was great as well. BUT -- the A/C units are inadequate and poorly placed about 3 feet (1 meter) above the floor. Cold air travels down and most A/C units in Israel are high on the wall to keep the room cool. It is bizarre that they chose this low-level design. The fan on the A/C is not strong enough and they have a digital lock that prevents setting the temperature lower than 19 degrees C. If it really achieved 19 degrees that would be fine but it was closer to 28-30 degrees in there for several hours before it finally got reasonably cool enough to sleep. The management offered to bring a couple fans but couldn't find them -- later they said they had been stolen. …

The stairs are very difficult at this hotel and make it nearly impossible for a handicap person to navigate. Additionally, the floor numbering is very confusing. We were the only non Jews at dinner and we felt very out place eating there. Food was very expensive but good. Count on about $50.00 USD per person per meal. The location was in the Jewish Quarter of the old city, but again not suitable for any handicap person.

This is a clean functional hotel in the old city (but to which a taxi can still deliver you). The service was very shoddy when I arrived but I arrived on the Sabbath, and anyone who travels in this holy city on the Sabbath gets what they deserve. Beyond that, actually darn good.

Andre and the staff in the reception are amazing. Very helpful, and polite, and Andre goes out of the way to help you out. The rooms are small and not as clean as I would have liked. Breakfast was very good with a large variety of food. Do not expect anything from the bar, the bartender doesn't show up, and when he did, they have very little to choose from. This hotel is all about location. Close to everything you want to see. 15 mins. To 1/2hr walk.

I gave this so cold “hotel” 2 stars only because of the location. If it wasn’t at that location they would get ZERO stars from us!!! Avoid this hotel at any cost! The hotel is dirty, rooms are extremely dirty, shower is a disaster. Few drops of water (warm. Not hot) and you will freeze while taking a shower due to the extremely low water pressure. Breakfast is poor. And we paid around 250 euros for this poor experience. We will NEVER come back!

We were a group of friends that stayed in 4 rooms. Upon arrival, after a day spent outside (in 30 degree weather), we were told that there was no water in the entire area. This meant that we had to get ready for a friend's wedding without showering. We were given mineral water bottles so we had a water-bottle shower, but this water problem was not in the hotel's control, so although it was very unpleasant - it wasn't their fault. The other problem was that the air-conditioning in 3 of the 4 rooms did not work. On top of not being able to shower, our rooms were like saunas. The staff at the front desk said they would handle it, when we came back later to the rooms, nothing had been handled. When we left again, they said that they would bring us fans, when we can back, only two rooms had received fans (ours did not). The third problem was that our room was facing the street/parking lot so even though we returned to our rooms at midnight, it took me a very long time to fall asleep because of all of the noise outside, I woke up several times at night and woke up very early to the sound of the "reverse" drive beeping from one of the vehicles in the parking lot. When we left in the morning, several of my friends expressed their unhappiness over the conditions, and even had to ask for some sort of compensation (which should have been offered without having to ask) and although it was the manager they spoke with, the answer they received was that there was an air-conditioning problem in all the rooms... and that's that. Nothing was done or offered. Even a "sorry" and small token would have been nice... they have a lot to learn about hospitality.…
