I have stayed in that awesome hostel for 2 nights during my country-all-round trip across the Israel. I appreciated every detail, starting from the situation ending with towels cleanliness. Lived in the dormitory with, the beds are little squeaky. The roof and terrace are amazing, having breakfast there was a pleasure. So guys, take your buddies, grab some beer, and...

This is a very cool hostel. I always stay in a single room, and this one was hard to turn around in! However, I certainly would stay there again. Cute ladies running the desk, and very helpful. Nice rooftop area to sit and have breakfast (included). Best part is the flea market outside the door, and great shops all up...

All staff were ever so friendly, and they certainly work hard. Being a 'senior' I had my own room (no.,19) for 3 nights, it was excellent. Old family pictures on the wall, a nice view over Old Zion Street which was only noisy on Shabbat night. There were 4 dorm bunks for me to lay my gear on, no hunting...

This place is GREAT. Super safe - you need to know the code to get inside the building. It's also literally right by the flea markets, so it can get a little loud, but there's always a lot of shopping and people watching to do. There's also a TON of restaurants within a 1-2 minute walking distance. The staff were...

Great! Booked online same-day with bookings.com. Received friendly e-mail giving me out-of-doors access information. Super building, great character. Lovely high ceilings. Friendly hostel-vibe. Faded and tatty on the edges with eclectic decor, in a nice way. Bathrooms not top-end however clean and bear in mind the low price (for a city). Loved it

Perfect location in the middle of the Jaffa's Flea Market. Very close to the Jaffa Port area. A lot of places to visit around, bars and restaurants. The hostel is very nice decorated, you feel cheerful and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Huge terrace upstairs with fantastic views and cosy kitchen when you can prepare your meals and chill...

Off the top: completely unhelpful staff and communal dirty bathrooms and showers. No air conditioning in the hottest months of the Israeli summer. The office closes at 5pm so if you need any help past that you are out of luck. Thats not the worst part as I found myself having to keep my valuables closely guarded because of theft....

My husband and I stayed at the Old Jaffa Hostel for two nights and we wished we could have stayed longer. We were in a private room of the B category, i.e. small but with a private bathroom. It was truly tiny, but there was enough space between the bed board and the wall to fit our suitcases, so it...

It was terribly hot, no a/c, small bed, bugs everywhere, party outside unti 3am, rooster's crowing from 5.30am. shared shower, toilet. Won't be back for sure. No parking lot, if you're lucky you can find a place near the hotel.

“Make sure to book ahead if with a group, as the rooms book up quickly. Also, check transport options ahead of time to the hostel. From the central bus station of Tel Aviv (reachable easily by train from the airport), you can take bus 41 or 83 to Jerusalem Blvd. and it's just a 5-minute walk from there (just around the corner from the clocktower).”
