I write this review in hope that it will prevent somebody to stay in this place! If you want to have a nice trip, do not go near this hostel. My friends and I booked there a room for three people for one night. Photos were nice enough, the price was affordable. It's not my first experience with cheap hostels in Israel, my expectations were low, but what we got was unimaginable. From the beginning, the receptionist was beyond rude to us. When we entered the room, we saw the dirty cramped space, litter on the floor, one bed, and a couch (we ordered a room with two separate beds and a couch). When we demanded what we ordered, the receptionist guy just told us "that's what it is, there are no separate beds". He agreed to clean the room for us, as it was an obvious dumpster, but all he did was sweep the floor in the center. We thought that it couldn't get any worse, but then we saw beddings. Sheets and pillowcases were all stained! All of them! We were disgusted and didn't even try to touch that excuse for the towels they gave us. It seems they don't do laundry at all... In the end, we had no choice but to sleep with our bags serving as pillows and without blankets. It was freezing cold, we barely slept. The kitchen on the ground floor smelled awful, it's impossible to cook there. Hole in the wall in the toilet, lightbulbs are not working right. It's not worth mentioning that on booking.com our reservation included a hairdryer and a breakfast, right? When we mentioned it to the receptionist, he blew us off very quickly, it was like he was offended by the question! Honestly, It's like their whole purpose was to do everything to drive customers away.…
Great location if you are keen to see the beach and explore the local markets in Tel Aviv. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about both the city and Israel itself and is very happy to help you figure out your travel plans, locally or not.
Myself and a friend stayed a couple nights. We were in a large dorm of about 30 people so it was fairly cut for space. It was a nice style, chilled vibe, cool people and the location wasn’t bad. Staff were helpful.
Caution!!! Fraudsters !! My husband and I booked this hotel, it seemed clean and tidy. But only it seemed. Upon arrival, the dirt, dust and mold on the walls immediately caught my eye. Then they simply stole money from us, otherwise I can’t call it. When filling out the questionnaire, they told me that I have to pay 17% VAT as an Israeli citizen, although I have a student visa and are equal to tourists in all Israeli civil relations. This was followed by a long conviction that payment of our reservation at the booking was not transferred to the hotel, so they can not settle us. Although in my account on Booking all payment has passed and the number is reserved. We were offered a very (convincingly and carefully suggested, I ask you to pay attention to this, the employee’s game is an acting game that is not appreciated by Oscar) to pay them the same amount with VAT at the cash desk, after which the booking will return the money we paid earlier and we will settle right there to the promised number. And so it happened. Then we were taken to a room which DOES NOT APPLY TO ANYTHING WHICH WE RESERVED ON BOOKING: 7 beds, it’s cold, like in a freezer, falling off the floor and plaster from the walls. The following dialogue follows: “- for booking I booked another double room on the top floor with a double bed. - Not. booking can provide you with any photos, but not real photos of rooms. This is all booking. ” Please draw your own conclusions about the competence of such an employee and, in general, any possibility of such an individual having access to the service sector. We tried to get our money back, it was very difficult, because we did not speak English well and hardly knew Hebrew. We spent 4 hours in this eatery instead of enjoying Tel Aviv. We called our friends so that they could talk with the employee and convince him that he was wrong and we need to return the money, everything was in vain. In the end, he simply began to ignore us, not to answer questions. The last phrase, after which our patience burst, "we will not refund your money, you can leave." I repeat that these are scammers who planned this action in advance.…
The location doesn't seem good, but once you get there it is not far from Old Jaffa and a beach where you can actually swim and is also not far from one of the main streets and there are food places and some clubs nearby. The hostel beds are great, security is good, toilets are fine and there are lots of people to meet and the hostel organises meals and events and provides drinks
