We have stayed in many Israeli hotels and this was one of the worst for the cost. The room was dark, smelled like mold, had a loud noise the entire night. Breakfast was just, eh…The location is not the best.

We've been staying at Alexander for the past few visits to Tel Aviv, and love this hotel. The breakfast is great, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. On our last trip we took the 2 bedroom suite, which was perfect for our family of 4 . The staff is helpful and accommodating, and we look forward to our next stay.

The Alexander is a wonderful boutique hotel in a lovely location in a less congested section of Tel Aviv’s seafront. To the north of the Hilton Hotel, it is a three-minute walk to the beach and a five minute walk to “the Port”, “HaNamal” – which had an one time been where the boats docked and goods were stored as the entered and left the country. So, the large warehouses have been converted to shops and restaurants and the wharfs to lovely promenades. This is all NEAR the Alexander. The hotel features a delightful breakfast room on its rooftop with an outdoor seating area and sliding glass doors. Large, airy, bright and well-appointed the Alexander offers a rich, delicious, varied, tasty, wonderful and exciting breakfast buffet. So much to choose from! The buffet is supplemented with an array of freshly brewed coffees and specialty entrees among them omelettes. When we had a problem with our in-room mini-bar (refrigerator) a staff member was immediately dispatched to our room (despite it being a late hour) and he was determined and empowered to figure out a work-a-round that made for a satisfactory resolution. Front desk staff was wonderfully helpful with local guidance. Rooms are large, updated and spacious. Bathrooms are modern, updated and clean. Nice and clean. We had a lovely view towards the beach and the Hilton. As were a family of seven persons, we occupied three rooms, and everyone was happy with their accommodations. We will stay at this hotel on our next visit to Tel Aviv without any hesitation.

My boyfriend and I had a most wonderful stay at the Alexander. Stunning views, delicious breakfast, excellent/caring management and staff. The location could not be better. Right near the beach and a short walk to Dizengoff Street. (I almost hesitate to tell you all of this, as I want to keep the hotel available to us!!! I was sad to check out and leave!)

I had an amazing experience. The hospitality was amazing; the room was big and clean; it is perfectly located. A special thanks to the staff who was really helpful and friendly. Is the perfect choice for a small, professional business trip. I take delegations every year and everyone is satisfied!!

Hotel rooms are nice, comfortable and big. Reception staff however have less personality than bricks. I think a master class in public relations would go far. Definitely lacking in etiquette and warmth.

I stayed there 7 days and my son stayed in another room for 5 days. On the plus side, the breakfast is wonderful, as is the view from the roof. The breakfast staff are amazing. A minor negative is the hotel is showing its age, for example, the area rugs in the rooms are very dirty. The issue is management has a "it's not a problem" attitude, meaning it's not a problem for them, regardless of the impact on me. A man walked into my room late one evening without knocking or identifying himself, saw me and walked out. Management said "it's not a problem" because it was just maintenance walking into the wrong room. There was a leak from the walls onto the bathroom floor and although the leak was extensive, management said "it was not a problem" because they could send up towels so I could mop up the water. The next day, my last day there, the source of the problem became apparent as water poured through the ceiling into the bathroom. Management said it "was not a problem" because I could move to another room. The move was a serious inconvenience and source of stress; the move badly disrupted my plans and preparations for leaving, and I left behind some items in my haste to move to another room. Despite this, management would not adjust my bill or apologize in any way for the inconvenience. I spent almost $5,000 there and was treated as an inconvenience and bother when there was a malfunction or error on their part. There are many beautiful hotels along the beach in Tel Aviv. Stay in one of those where management may have more respect and appreciation for their guests.

The rooms are perfect for a family holiday stay. Most comfortable bed! So convenient to be right across the road from the beach so easy to walk and don’t have to battle for parking. Also a two minute walk from the Namal- huge shopping and restaurant area open till late at night. Breakfast is very good with so much to choose from. I will definitely come back and stay at the Alexander.
