I have recently stayed 3 nights at De La Mer hotel in Tel Aviv. Location of the hotel is fantastic. Hotel is located on a street parallel to the promade. A few minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes to the city centre. We walked everywhere- 40 minutes to Old Jaffa, 40 minutes to central bus station where...

Do you understand the difference between the “hostel” and “hotel”? I understood it when came at thee hotel (!) DE LA MER. In the autumn 2009 its facade was under reconstruction. Smells bad. My room was small like a compartment in a train; windows were small and located very high like in a…jail! The balcony was fronted by a noisy...

I was pleasantly surprised by the charm, styling, and cleanliness of this Bauhaus style hotel in the heart of Tel Aviv on Hayarkon and Nes Ziona. The room was a bit small, but the bed was comfortable, there was ample closet space, and while tight, the bathroom was very modern and clean. The breakfast was exceptionally prepared traditional Israeli food,...

Some of my favorite hotels have crept up in price a bit much, so decided to try Hotel de la mer, which was a good 15-20% cheaper - I am after a safe, comfortable, reasonable place to stay, not a great hotel experience, just to set out my parameters. If you're looking for something indulgent, or a snappy businessman's hotel,...

I stayed in the Hotel de la Mer for one week at the end of November/beginning of December. My initial impression was ok. The car park between the hotel and the sea is unfortunate, but it is far better than there being another hotel between the two, and the view of the sea is uninterrupted. Micky/Michael was on the desk...

I spent the last night of a 5 week stay in Israel at Hotel de la Mer. I ended up there by accident when Agoda messed up a booking for a hotel in the same street. From arrival I was made to feel most welcome. Mickey looked after all my requirements, he is a most interesting and charming individual who...

We stayed a total of 6 nights at the Hotel de la Mer, having chosen it from the reviews here on Trip advisor. We were not disappointed. The location, which seemed at first to be a little too far south on the promenade to be considered 'central', turned out to be great, just 2 short blocks from Bograshov, one of...

For hotels in the areas very comparable. We had the junior suite which was very private and quiet (worth the extra few dollars to upgrade). Friendly and excellent service from staff. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Location was perfect, across the street from the beach and in good walking distance to other parts of the city, if you are a...

This fairly new property was very conveniently located in Tel Aviv. The beach was right across the street and all the shopping you could ask for was just steps away. The price was very reasonable and included a lovely breakfast. The staff also went out of their way to be helpful. A few complimentary parking spots were also available.
