We spent just one night at this quaint, five-room family-owned hotel on our way through Jerash. But I can see why some visitors use it as a base in the area because: 1) the owner, Ismail Khasim, and his son, Walid, make you feel so welcome from the minute you step inside. 2) the location is right across the street...

A lovely family run hotel directly opposite the Roman ruins. Very accommodating staff consisting of a father and son. Highly recommend....Jerash is a small town 50 miles from the Syrian border but it is very safe and the inn keepers speak English well enough to help you plan your stay. The ruins can take 2 days to go though...

This place is perfectly located and the owner and his son are very helpful. They are simply very nice people who run a nice little and very clean hotel. We stayed in the upstairs suite and had a huge balcony to ourselves. Highly recommended.

Yes the rooms here are somewhat basic and certainly not to the standard in a large 5 star chain. However the warm welcome and convenient location to the ancient city of Gerasa more than make it for it. My partner and I opted to stay in the King room which was a very generous size and had a huge outdoor...

Ismail and Walib, father and son, run an impeccably clean hotel right across the street from the ancient city of Gerasa, in Jerash. Their hospitality is amazing. We had lessons in cardamom coffee brewing, and thoughtful conversations about the Middle East. Business is hurting due to the current mess in Syria, but we have found Jordan safe and eager for...

We traveled from Petra and arrived to find a genuinely warm welcome. We had been warned by our driver as well as a guide, if we planned to stay at Hadrian'Gate, we should "lower" our expectations after our stay at the Petra Guest House. However, we had done our research and weren't deterred. Yes, it isn't four or even three...

Conveniently located right across the street from the Roman ruins, Hadrian's Gate Hotel offers a very friendly service, but it will not win any beauty points. At JD 50 a night this was one of the more expensive hotels we visited, and definitely not the best value for money one. It is family-run and your hosts will make you feel...

What really wins for this Hotel is the hospitality. Ismael, the owner, was both kind and helpful and ready to assist the weary tourist in any way. Lift to the ATM (only 100m),welcome coffee, restaurant tips and directions, sightseeing tips etc. The hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy. Breakfast was a simple but pleasant selection of fresh vegetable, dips, bread, jam and eggs. We...

There is a hotel with a similar name in Turkey which we nearly booked by accident! This is not bookable over the internet so best give them a call. The proprietors are very welcoming and offers of tea and coffee abound. They also extend the use of the WC facilities; tea and coffee and luggage storage after check-out should you...
