Detailed Reviews
The hotel is definitely worth staying in when visiting Tehran! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and well-maintained and cleaned thoroughly each day. The breakfast is very nice. My only suggestion is sometimes the staff in the cafe can be inattentive but they make up for it with great coffee and food items!

Good hotel,suitable location,The hotel was clean and staffs were very kind,they cleaned my room whenever I wanted. But the manager of hotel was nervous I prefered to visit another person for speaking about something such as city,historical place and so on. Food was high priced in hotel.

I had my doubts about trying indian food in Tehran but this place was definitely way above my expectations. I ordered chicken tandori and it was one of the best I ever had. Nice and clean restaurant with very respectful and professional crew.

Beyond the disproportionate cost for Iranian standards, it is definitely a kitsch hotel with vulgar furnishings. We see references to ancient Persia of dubious taste. Beyond this, the staff has nothing to do with Iranian hospitality, if they are polite it is only because they want a large tip (personally it was practically forced on me). Good rooms and cleanliness, but everything takes second place if you have a service of this type.
Never to see each other again.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights.
Strength points:
Excellent location and access to all parts of Tehran;
Excellent restaurants and coffee shops with delicious Indian and Persian cuisine;
Well-behaved staff;
Large rooms with excellent facilities;
Clean pool.
Weak points:
It does’nt have open space, but the interior space is pleasant enough

This is really a nice place to be in Tehran. The hotel accommodations are comfortable. There is a Gym, Hammam and sauna space. Look well for the opening schedule as they are different for men or women.
The restaurant is great and the breakfast buffet is sumptuous.
It is located in the north part of Tehran and that implies being in the traffic jam for visiting the centre of the city.

+1
I have just returned from a week visiting Tehran. Stayed in TajMahal hotel while visiting. The hotel is magnificent with superior service.
Each room has a living room, Bedroom and small Kitchenette with Private Bathroom. You also get daily fresh fruit in your room.
There is a real nice restaurant inside Hotel with quality Food. Breakfast is included with lots of fresh fruit, cheese, bread and pastries. There is also exercise room and a Pool.
Hotel is in center of city accessable to North and south (business district).
Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in Tehran and I am extremely fussy!

Place is very clean, basic & functional. The staff is generally friendly & the entrance lobby has a nice an antique fell to it. The rooms are relatively small & offer limited or no view of the exterior (single bedroom apartment).
However the food is decent & offers a break from the many fast food joints & local restaurants. The place is a bit pricey for the services it offers, however serves the purpose well.

Very nice rooms as all are suites with bedroom, bathroom and sitting room with kitchenette. Everywhere was very clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. All the equipment worked especially the AC which was efficient and quiet. Despite the hotel being close to the expressway there was no real traffic noise, but there was some building work going on during the day, but only during the day.
We booked the hotel car to and from the airport which worked out fine.
There was free fruit, water and soft drinks in the room. Breakfast in the room was excellent and very generous. Free Wi-Fi in all areas. An excellent stay.

I have stayed at the Taj Mahal a few times on business in Tehran, and found it to be a reasonable option, given the distinct lack of first class hotels in Tehran.
The rooms are spacious, each is a small apartment, self catering would be possible although I have not done this. Rooms are clean and there is a TV, stereo and some (English) books in the room + fridge and complimentary fruit on arrival.
The beds are a little too soft for my preference.
Service is good, staff are generally helpful and polite, you get a complimentary cup of tea on arrival and check-in/out are usually smooth.
Indian restaurant is quite nice (but I like Indian food anyway!). If you did not like Indian food, then don't stay at this hotel! The breakfast is not very good - poor quality and not a good selection on the buffet.
There is a small gym and very small swimming pool - timings are split with different times allocated for male / female use due to local religious restrictions.
All in all a reasonable choice and not too expensive by Iranian standards.
