Just came back from an 8 night stay at the Beirut Marriott and I don't have enough words to describe how good this hotel is and how vibrant this beautiful city is.The lobby is opulent with chrome mirrors, scented candles, classy flower arrangements, an oak lobby bar and wonderful young friendly receptionists who are experts in professional and prompt service.

I was given a room on the 1st floor which had 2 comfortable queen beds. The room was extremely spacious with a sitting area and nice desk (and this is only a standard room!)and 3 phones .The bathroom was huge divided into 2 parts, one for the tub and commode and another for the sinks and vanity mirror. The room also had a partial view of the Mediterranean with its magnificent dark blue water. The hotel's location is perfect being in a quiet upscale residential area halfway between downtown and the airport (a cab ride to the shopping and nightlife area costs a mere $3 US).

The breakfast buffet was lavish with a chef to take your orders.I would like to especially mention the very accommodating young lady called Joelle who worked at the Palms restaurant.Thank you Joelle for such great service.

I also had fun at Champions bar where I had an excellent chicken burger.

The only slight drawback to the stay was the older TV set which needed an upgrade with the remote control being not so reliable.

Other than that an excellent stay and I recommend this wonderful hotel to all visitors to this beautiful city.

The Marriott is really an excellent hotel. I stayed there for 4 nights earlier this month. The service was great, nice friendly professional staff. Twice daily maid service (even though the cleaners were men!)
Both the female and male reception staff were courteous and smiling.
The rooms are quite large even by North American standards.
The location is quiet yet near all the sites.
The buffet breakfast was really fit for royalty, a huge slection with a chef to take your orders too.
A nice classy 5 star hotel with a rate that's much cheaper than comparable hotels in Beirut. Will return again.

I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and I am very pleased with rooms, service and the friendly staff. It is good for a business stay as well as for leisure. The friendly staffs show the Lebanese hospitality at its best!

After a long Business day, try the gym; it is complete and even has a trainer ready to advise you.
It was a great choice and I would certainly stay in the Marriot for my next trip.

I stayed at the Marriott in Beirut for three nights in early November. The hotel is beautiful, with clean rooms, good security and an attentive staff. It is, however, located in a non-descript suburb halfway between the city center and the airport. That might be convenient for those just flying in and out of Beirut but it's a pain if you want to use the hotel as a base to see the sights. A taxi into town will cost you about $10. You're better off staying at the Meridien in Hamra if you want to explore downtown Beirut.

I had stayed for one night as i arrived late at the airport and did not want to drive at night. The room is spacious, bathroom has all the necessary utilities and toiletries. The Gym was good. The guys at the reception during check in and check out were friendly and helpful. I did not try their breakfast. I had one issue only with my car parking as they charge 10,000 Lebanese pound for the parking which I found ridiculous. Are hotels still charging these days for parking??

I’m lukewarm about my stay here, leaning towards poor. You get what you pay for, but I think for the price, there are much better hotels to stay at. I found Golden Tulip Galleria Hotel terribly overpriced for the services offered. No breakfast offered, and amenities were pretty basic. Also, there was no hot water one night I was there. I only stayed here because it was near the airport, and the next time I find myself in Beirut, which is shortly here (Jan), I will seek out a better hotel in Hamra. The hotel is far out from all the attractions, and while they offer a free shuttle into town, you still have to find your way back, and taxis are ridiculously overpriced in Beirut. Overall, average stay, fine for a night, but as a tourist, better to look for someplace closer to the heart of Beirut. Depends on your purpose.
