Couldnt fault anything with this hotel. Rooms clean and refurbished plus spotless bathroom. Good breakfast, bar and friendly staff. I would come back and stay again. The hotel is old but this adds to the ambionce.

This is the place Norwegian journalists and solidarity workers used to retreat to during the times of civil was in Lebanon. Many stories are told here over a bear in this bar. Still, Norwegians come back to Beirut and stay here rather than in charmless and pale hotels that you find on every other corner. Room has small balconies where...

Great location, very old hotel, old linens, old decor, nothing special about this hotel. I would only stay here if I was on a tight budget and accepted that I will not have all the amenities one expects in a modern hotel.

This is a very good value hotel, in a city which is rather expensive. The location in the Hamra district is excellent. The public areas of the hotel are a bit "tired" - but my room was very good with a really excellent bathroom. The breakfast is fine, and they vary the hot food offering from day to day. As...

The Mayflower is a charming property one block off of the madness that is Rue Hamra. As the Mayflower cannot grow up or out due to its stifling location on a side street, the property has retained the stylish panache of its heyday 50 years ago. When one thinks of authentic Beirut, this property delivers. The rooms, while dated, are...

We have experienced the best service in this hotel in Lebanon. The staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was adequate, fresh and healthy. The location is perfect. It was always full of tourists in the hotel, but they would manage everything. Our room was small, but the bathroom was large and clean with a small bathtub.

If you want a clean, fairly basic hotel room in the fashionable district of Hamra at a reasonable price (for Beirut which is eye-wateringly expensive) with aircon, safe, free wifi and breakfast included, then consider this hotel. The one major drawback was that the public rooms were very smokey indeed. Surely it would be possible for the hotel management to...

I am very pleased with the Mayflower. I would rate it as a three star. The rooms are clean, the washrooms adequate, flat screen and safe in room. The front desk guy could work on his people skills and the breakfast buffet is far from gourmet, but the hotel is great value. I would probably stay here again.

first time in Beirut, I was not expecting luxury, but here is no so much. They say that deserve the money, I said it's poor quality of service. Far too expensive for what you get. Good location if you are looking to be on Hamra street, but you better search for a hotel next to Corniche.

The Mayflower Hotel is situated just off Hamra Street in the heart of 'old Beirut'. It has been around for years; my wife and I first stayed there nearly 40 years ago! If you enjoy being downtown, there are several hotels that are classier than the Mayflower like the Crowne Plaza nearby but none offers as good value. Free internet...
