Once you enter this place, you travel 300 years back in time. Beautiful architecture, amazing place and excellent service. We spent most of our time at the hotel, be it relaxing in the lounge area, checking the Turkish Hammam or just wandering around the stairs and corridors or reading about old Damascus in the library room. The staff are super...

We arrived at this hotel straight off the flight to spend the first night of a tour of Syria. Our room was not ready and we had to wait whilst it was prepared - it was 1.00am. We were given an inferior room which was a single - they split the beds but there was only one lamp, glass, bathrobe...

I stayed at the Beit Zaman in early August. First the positive things: - best breakfast buffet - large and nicely decorated rooms - great location However, the staff was very arrogant and rude, the rooms extremely noisy and the air conditioner not very powerful (and none in the bathroom). The worst however, were the ants running around not only...

It is excellent place for a couple, family or for business too. The staff is remarkably pleasant and very courtise. The hotel has the feeling and the design of an old Damascus homes like the...

This Boutique hotel is larger than the others we've visited but somehow manages to keep the old house feeling of similar places. Our rooms were directly on the courtyard, but this was not too much of a problem, and there were some misunderstandings with our booking, but otherwise the service was excellent, the breakfast nice and the management very helpful....

The Team at Beit Zaman have always made me feel welcomed and made me feel truly as I am in my own home. In addition to the beauty of the hotel, the service and attitude of every staff member have always been focused towards the guest. This is a true testament to Mr. Hani Malek and his leadership as well...

A charming old palace has been turned into a modern, comfortable, clean, friendly hotel without losing the sense that you are in Old Damascus. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was tasty and of excellent quality featuring both local and international foods. The beds and bathroom facilities were up to date. There is wi-Fi. It is on...

Stayed here for 3 nights on our return to Damascus. Our room was in the back courtyard which was so quiet and comfortable. All the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great breakfasts.

“you can also book trips to Palmyra the ancient large city of queen Zenobia and visit the Baghdad Cafe. The people are the kindest people I have met in any country. The Hotels are large suites with the most comfortable beds and large modern walk in showers.”
