We spent Christmas in this lovely hotel in 2010. It is in a quiet street in the heart of the Christian quarter . Surrounded by churches, museums., it transports you back to how I would imagine Christmas would be in Bethlehem ages ago. Lively area. Great service form staff , Temperatures outside were near 0C when we were there, room...

We stayed there for four nights. The rooms were ckean. My concern was the bathroom and to my surprise it was like any other international hotel's bathroom, though the size was not big. Room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was good as they served tradional dishes. In short it was very good and i would stay there again if...

There are a couple of very good things about this hotel sadly countered by some poor things. The good points first. Location is very good - just off the Street called Straight near the Eastern Gate and therefore well within walking distance of everything you would want to visit in the old town. The hotel, which is an old Damascene...

A converted traditional house with several courtyards to sit or eat in-nicely furnished rooms which are a good size.Syrian style buffet breakfast with several interesting dishes, let down slightly by tinned fruit which was gently fermenting! Very convenient location in a quiet street ,perfect for exporing the Old City

Lovely hotel in the heart of the Old Town a few paces from The Street Called Straight - which is VERY BUSY WITH TRAFFIC, but the hotel is very peaaceful. Walnut wood ceilings good furnishings, the best food that we ate in Syria. Highly recommended. But you have to cart your luggage there as it is on a traffic free...

The hotel is a former grand mansion converted to provide a small number of comfortable rooms. It is on a quiet car-free pathway about 30 metres from the "Street called Straight" and in the heart of the old Christian quarter. 5 minutes walk from the Roman Arch and 10 minutes from the souks and the grand mosque. No traffic sounds...

When I was planning my three-day trip to Damascus I heard from almost everyone that I shouldn't be expecting to find a hotel of a good standard. I did a good surf on the net for hotels and considering the prices, locations, and Trip-advisor reviews, decided to stay in Oriental. However, I wasn't sure at all ! Arriving in Damascus,...

You walk down a busy noisey street then of down an narrow alley way and enter the hotel through a narrow entrance, then through to a lovely court yard decorated beautifuly and it's so peaceful. We...

I stayed for a couple of nights. This hotel was recommended by our travel agent. We were initially sceptical because we have looked at several similar type of "house converted hotels" before and they were all rather tired looking but this one was a surprise. The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean. It has a very quaint courtyard. All...

Ideally located in the christian quarter within the walled city of Damascus, this hotel has a lot going for it. The rooms are elegantly furnished, are very clean and have a lovely bathroom. Considering its location there is no noise, the food was very good, the hotel staff are helpful. I cant find a fault. You can even sunbathe on...
