Went for total relax, and this hotel delivered exactly that. Really can't fault it, facilities were excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in a Venetian Suit, which was spacious and well equipped. Only slight negative is my wife is vegetarian, and only one of the 5 on-site restaurants offered a range vegetarian menu options. However we found the Punjab restaurant next to the hotel, which had both an extensive range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Thoroughly deserved 5 start rating.

Lovely hotel, perfect to stay for a couple of nights. Irfan was very helpful and kind as was the whole staff. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Pool was very good and location easy from airport if coming in late.

Just spent 10 days in a spacious club suite on the 6th floor with great views over the very large swimming pool and private beach area. The club lounge was without doubt the best we have had access to on our travels, panoramic views from the 7th floor, great food served throughout the day and alcoholic drinks available from 12pm to 10pm. Service everywhere was excellent, but particularly the club level team of Joseph, Nunie, Jose, Johan, Sonia, Chef Laila and the rest. The friendly, courteous and professional service they provided was second to none. The hotel also has well-regarded Asian and Steak restaurants and a very good Lebanese. Live music and cocktails in the atmospheric Sorso bar -well worth a visit. Very impressive hotel -will definitely return.

We’ve just returned from a very pleasant stay at the Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi. We traveled with 2 young children and were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived by Salman and the front of house team. Check-in was quick and efficient and were shown to our room on the 3rd floor overlooking the resort. The room was spacious with two double beds and a cot and a lovely bathroom with his and her sinks, a large bathtub and amazing shower. Some of the furnishings were looking a little dated and rather oddly there was only one chair on the balcony. We asked for another one and two dinning chairs were delivered promptly which was a bit unusual. As part of the half board package you can eat at the buffet restaurant and 3 of the a la carte restaurants. The buffet was always good quality with options for everyone. All the staff were helpful and friendly, offering to help carry food for the children are asking if they had any special requests, even if there was stuff that wasn’t out at the buffet. A special mention to Shashi (hope I’ve spelt that right) who made sure the kids had drinks and anything they wanted to eat. We also ate at the Forge (steak restaurant) which was excellent with fantastic service from Rayian and Li Jang (Asian restaurant) which was slightly underwhelming. The pool and beach facilities were always clean and complimentary water and ice lollies given our regularly. The location is a bit far from the main city however the Grand Mosque is across the main road and walkable although a taxi is easier given the heat. John on the front door was great at helping the kids in and out of the taxies and putting our pushchair up and down and making the whole thing as easy as possible. What a grand hotel! We really felt special here and the hotel made it all happen. The place is just beautiful and we have so many nice photos. Would love to visit again! We just decided to hang around the hotel and enjoy it. The pool the beach, you could play basketball, ping pong, soccer etc. we didn't have time for the fitness room since we were eating too much. Everything is grand at this hotel. The people working here helped make it special as well. Thanks to Chef Vitaly, Tessonalika and Mary at check-in , especially Mr Eli- call him superman, really appreciated your help Eli, thank you. Also Agung for our room set up and Mr Harry and Yamun. Great staff makes a hotel even better! Thanks for the great time and memories.

Having stayed at a number of hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, we chose to return to the Ritz Carlton for the third time as it is extremely comfortable and not too large or impersonal. We booked, as usual, through Best at Travel (Matt or Sanju) who have good knowledge of hotels in the UAE. As usual, we were treated extremely well by all of the staff and management. The invitation to meet with Luismar Jorge (Sales Coordinator) for afternoon tea early in our stay was much appreciated. The room was double aspect and spotlessly clean with sea and pool views. The room service was efficiently provided by Parminder. The team, at the pool, led by Rajitha and Rafiq, knew our preferences and prepared everything for us each day. The pool bar also provided us with personal service. Kamran and Janak kept us well stocked with liquid refreshment especially at 'Happy Hour'. There is a varied choice of restaurants with The Forge being our favourite serving steaks and BBQed meals. Raiyan and Lorenzo looked after us well there. The buffet (Giornotte) was also a favourite with breakfast and a wide choice of meals. From the off we met up with the indefatigable Jako Van Graan. I think his title is Head of Food and Beverages but he appeared virtually everywhere including providing us with a local newspaper each day, helping at the pool, waiting in the Giornotte and at the bar and being a source of information about the resort and area. Our thanks go to Jako and everybody else in the friendly team for giving us another relaxing and enjoyable holiday. One improvement we would like to see is a drinks package for those choosing not to use the Club Lounge. Maybe for drinks before and during dinner? In summary, we had another enjoyable stay at the hotel and will hopefully be returning in October …
