The hostel might have seen better days but the courtyard with its columns is still fascinating! For lunch there is a offer of a salat-buffet and a soup, meet with some vegetables and a desert for 30 B's, which is about 3,80 Euros per person. I loved to be there, waiters where very friendly and the atmosphere is really unbeatable....

Big, rambling old hotel. Really nothing wrong with it although bathrooms aren't very clean.. didn't see anyone cleaning anything the two days we spent there. But there is always room, so when you arrive at 5am you can get right into a room which is such a treat. The staff are perfectly fine - will help you with directions if...

I like this hotel. Why? Good welcome Of course a bit oldy and some disagreement in rooms. But really well situated, just aside plaza murillo. Easy to take your breakfast with WiFi access on the place just aside the hotel. They kept our luggage during some tourz

We stayed there four years ago. Good side: 1) bathroom, in the morning and at night it was always cleaned and empty. The water was hot always. 2) room, was spacious and the bed was cleaned. Bad side: 1) we are backpackers, so we sleep and wake up early. During our period staying there, there were a group of french...

I stayed at Hostal Torino for a bit over a week and while I was a bit off-put by the place at first, the place grew on me as it has a bit of character in all its dilapidation and it certainly fit in well with my budget (private without bathroom only 50 Bolivianos). The rooms are decent sized and...

We stayed here on two separate occasions as there wasn't space in Loki or Wild Rover. Much cheaper alternative to those hostels. I think we payed the same price for a private room as a single bed in a dorm would cost in the others. Friendly staff and excellent location. You can sign in at the party hostels to drink...

Location is very good, room was okay but very dark. The problem is, that the hotel surrounds a restaurant which is at the evening often rented as a party location. Due to this it was incredibly loud two nights in a row. If you go there ask whether the party location is booked or not. Rooms behind the reception may...

I arrived to La Paz LATER than we planned due to longer than expected bus ride. I came to the center of the town and just ended up staying here. I paid 140 Bs for double room. Service was great and the room with private bathroom was acceptable. No breakfast included. Also, the "hot water" was lukewarm at best.

I'm surprised at the amount of bad reviews here, we didn't find it quite so bad. We had 3 different rooms here during our stay due to changes in our situation. Before we booked our rooms however (we didn't pre-book) we were given a choice of which floor to stay on. Having viewed rooms on the 2nd floor (I think)...

If you're staying in La Paz for a night or two, then this might suffice. The location is ok, and the value-for-money is par for the course. I'm not an especially big fan of La Paz anyway, but the rooms are pretty basic, and breakfast isn't included.
