Detailed Reviews
Stayed for 8 nights - cost is reasonable and you know what you are getting with the Ibis standard. Room very clean, hot shower, tv in room, safe in room. Breakfast very good - cereals, fresh fruits, different breads, cakes, eggs and other hot options. Coffee good. Also ate in restaurant in evening to avoid going out after dark. Food very good and plentiful. Menu is ceviche as well as other options like burger and chips, rice dishes, fish and chicken. There is a pizza place next door. Supermarket close by for daily essentials. Friendly staff. Next to National museum. 20 minute walk to Historic area. Also provides taxi service. Definitely recommend.

A Colombian friend recommended this hotel based on the price and location and it hit the mark! It's fairly basic as far as amenities, but it was clean and the service was great. It also came with breakfast which was a nice bonus. The location was key for me because I only had 2 days in Bogota. It is across the street from a metro station, the National Museum, several great restaurants, and walking distance to Candelaria and Cerro Monserrate. I would definitely recommend this hotel as long as you are not expecting luxury.

My stay at Ibis Museo was very enjoyable. First time in Bogota. The hotel is about 25 mins away from El Dorado Airport and check in was very smooth. My spanish is very basic but the staff was very patient and answered all of my questions. It is conveniently located right next to Museo National and within walking 15-20 mins walking distance to the La Candeleria area and all the museums in that area. Theres a 24 hr La Rebaja Plus that is less than 5 min walk away from the hotel and a mcdonalds less than 5 min walk in the other direction if you need something familiar. The room service came every day with fresh towels and the security was Always outside scoping the area which made me feel pretty safe. Would def recommend and will return 👍

A hotel close to everything, easy access to any part of Bogota, is near the Trans Milenium station in the Carrera 7th. Nearby there are several restaurants from signature cuisine (Leo Cocina y Cava) to fast food (Archies); cross the street is the Centro Internacional and Hotek Tequendama; you can go to La Candelaria on foot. The National Museum is next door. Quiet zone. Excellent service. Belongs to the Sofitel hotels chain. Good service, very clean.

I have mixed feelings about our stay, and customer service left to be desired. With this being said there are various positive attributes to the hotel likes it’s location and comfortable beds. They were venues like a pharmacy; stores, restaurants, and fast food nearby. They were very good, affordable, and accessible. Additionally, the housekeeping, restaurant staff and service were good but NOT the reception/front desk. Our reservation was confirmed to include breakfast. However, the hotel would not honor this despite paperwork and taking to booking.com (a two hour call). The rate that we were charged for breakfast was also different from the rate in the paperwork we had. The first face you see upon checking in is your introduction to a new country and it’s people, it should, in my opinion, be a pleasant one. Especially after being exhausted due to many hours of traveling. The front desk staff was young and again, in my opinion, inexperienced and detached/uninterested in interacting with customers—I think that they can use additional training. Valentina was our first encounter and she was unempathetic, if not unpleasant. She didn’t seem interested in helping us solve the issue and was texting during our interactions. When we called from upstairs, we couldn’t reach her (reception) , and had to go downstairs in person. Our safe was not working the whole time we were there. We informed the front desk and they never fixed it (we were there 4 days). In sum, overall the hotel was not bad, it was centrally located and I would consider returning, but with reservation/hesitation!

My second time staying at an Ibis; LOVE these properties. The rooms are very basic but you'll have what you need. The property is fun and stylish, staff was helpful (including arranging midnight airport transportation for us) and there's a full service bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet has an amazing selection of dishes; I wish hotels in the US offered breakfasts like this! The National Museum right across the street is well worth a visit and you're a short drive to Monserrate and Candelaria.

We used Ibis Museo for a long layover. The location being close to the National Museum was unparalleled, which was great because it gave us the opportunity to visit the museum easily before checking out for our afternoon flight. The breakfast buffet was fantastic as well and the views from the upper floors were breathtaking. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

I purely chose this hotel for one night at the end of a trip around Colombia. I have visited and seen Bogota before so all I wanted was something cheap, clean and safe. This was fine. Usual Ibis decor and room including hot water, wifi, air conditioning and heater, hair dryer and more. Wifi was very fast. Hotel was clean. Staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. A few spoke English. I am an Expedia Gold client so this hotel gave me a few perks which was also why I booked it. This included a free drink and my checking out time was extended till 18:00 which I really wanted as I had a late night flight. A room upgrade was not available but I was not fussed as it was one night only. I didn't include breakfast. Hotel had a nice vibe and atmosphere. Very hip and busy. Secure and you can only access the floor of your room with the key card. I had dinner at Q!Ceviche restaurant located in the hotel which was very nice. My difference between a 4 and 5. Had I been in Bogota longer, I would have picked a hotel in a better location. Yes the Museo Nacional de Colombia is located opposite, a convenience store across the road and some eateries but you needed to take transport to most of the other tourist attractions. Also, safety as there were many stray characters and beggars around. I would not walk around the area especially at night and just watch when you come out of the hotel too.

The price is cheap and I choice the ibis as I wanted a late room check out due to catching a flight and that all went to plan. It is also in a really good location walking distance or cheap Uber to everything central Bogotá. The room is some what basic, think Travelodge. Also what stopped me giving four star is there drink lists has old prices so I paid more then I expected for a few cocktails and I think this is some what poor. The staff told me it had been like that for months and they had told management multiple times, but nothing has happened, get to it managers. That said for the price I paid for my one night stay it was reasonable value but to me this is very much a one night stop over kind of place. Ahh and there a couple of okay eating places right across the road rather then having hotel food if you have just landed in town.

The good thing is breakfast; the staff is friendly. Walkable to transport.
My flight from the USA landed late at night; I emailed them and told them about this; still, they did not hold the room even though I paid in full; had to wait a couple of hours.
Next, the room is small; it looks cheap. Rooms don't have good sound insulation; you can hear the street noise even from high floors

Hola Daniela, They have a luggage room, and kept my suitcases there. Saludos
I looked at hostels in La Calanderia but was told there had been break ins and the area can be sketchier at night. The Ibis felt safe and central. They have a cab stand, you are across the street from a transit station as well. The hotel is right next to Museo nacional, a planetarium, an old bull ring, restaurants and La Magdalena (colorful house row). It is a 15 min cab ride to La Calanderia (everything else is there). We got breakfast buffet for $10USD for the two of us. You could load up for the day on that? We did 36 hrs in Bogota at the end of our budget. We jammed it in but with the graffiti tour, it was well worth the extra cost.
