This place is great for the money, and actually pretty nice! We aren't the type of people to spend time in the room, and if that is your thing this hotel (and Palau) isn't for you. It only had a few TV channels, but comfortable beds and a big bathroom. All of the rooms had refrigerators. The girls at the...

I am a long term business traveller - stays of 3 months are the norm. West Plaza by the Sea provides exactly what I need - clean rooms, good plumbing, good food and helpful staff. The price is reasonable and the setting is quiet. What is best? Everything works as it should - a real feat in the Pacific where...

My son and I stayed here during a 3-day dive vacation. The hotel is very simple and basic, but it is clean, comfortable, and mostly quiet. The beds are twins so don't roll around too much! The TV only has a few stations (mostly news) so bring some entertainment. Our room was near the restaurant which resulted in one night...

Considering the price of hotels in Palau as a whole this basic hotel is at its best when you have a night in each direction from airport. As with all hotels this hotel charges by the number of people not the rooms booked. so, three people using 2 beds will pay 50 % more. Again this happens everywhere in Palau....

Lots of West Plazas in Koror. It is a big company. This one had ocean views on both sides. However, don't come here for the view. You won't be spending your time hanging out in your room anyway. The room is basic. It is dated but clean. Rooms in Koror are expensive. You can easily spend 3-500 dollars a night....

The hotel is very basic, but also not too expensive. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are a little dark, but hey you're not there to spend much time in the hotel. Maybe one tip. WIFI on the island is a bit of a problem. Restaurants all have big "free WIFI" signs, but usually there is no connection. The hotels only...

The West Plaza hotels (there are several on Palau) are all reasonably priced and very basic in terms of amenities but the staff is amazing. Clean rooms, smiling faces and good advice abound. We stayed at West Plaza by the Sea - close walk to town, close walk to the end of the road and a small sitting area with...

Old hotel, large rooms, but clearly a problem with pest control. I basically killed a cockroach a day. There is a Restaurant / Bar in the hotel, which offers good quality food and drinks, and a nice breakfast. It is called the Red Rooster, and by the way, roosters (probably located nearby the hotel) are also singing during the night,...

Although the hotel is nicely situated along the Sea, we needed to change hotel. There was a smell of mould in all of the rooms we were shown. The headoffice of West Plaza Hotels was able to find us a room at their hotel downtown. (see evaluation). The Red Rooster bar offers a nice choice of breakfast.

Our flights to Palau arrived and departed in the wee hours of the morning and our travel agent booked us into this hotel so we could grab a few hours of sleep on either end of our dive trip. The hotel was convenient and relatively close to the airport. It is a little off the beaten track, but still walking...
