I stayed here for about 5 days as part of a group. And as a group booking was not able to leave. This is very, very basic accommodation. No hot water, rooms old and tacky and barely clean. No soap or towel provided - had to ask for those. No internet provided. Food provided for breakfast was fine but only...

This was a last minute resort for accomodation as our cultural night show was cancelled so had to stay on the mainland until we could go back to our booked accomodation on one of the nearby islands. We rang Sela's to book then told them we were coming. The front office was not attended. We walked through the whole complex...

Our group of 8 stayed here for one week and it was our first time traveling to Tonga. We shared double rooms, which each had a shower and toilet, however there were quite a few mosquitoes (especially while showering) and other bugs, which wasn't great. We arrived during winter (the dry season) and found the accommodation to be a bit...

Me and my friend stayed here for three nights, we didn't book in advance, just showed up from the airport (about a 20 min drive in a taxi) and were given a private room with two double beds for just the two of us which was $60 Tongan a night. There is communal space and kitchen area with a dining...

We were staying there for 8 nights. It's a nice place to stay. we love simpleness so we just enjoyed it. There were basic rooms but clean and private. We loved to cook in a kitchen there. Sela's staff are really friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay at Sela's house again!

Whilst I am rating this three stars due to the standard of the accommodation, I did enjoy my stay and feel that it does strongly reflect a Tongan experience and would probably stay there again. Do not go in expecting a hotel or you are in for a rude awakening! The rooms were basic but comfortable, relatively clean and the...

Sela's is a lovely place to stay, relaxed, come and go as you please, do our own cooking if you want. Friendly, very safe and the perfect place to hide away. Just make sure they are not hosting Peace Corps, they can be noisy. I personally do not believe what the person (March 2 2012) -My Recent Trip- had to say....

Sela's Guest House; where to begin? How about the rooms? Squeaky beds with fabric much too hot for Tongan weather. No air-con, just a modest fan. Paper-thin walls. A bathroom that had an entire chunk of wall missing (you could see the wiring for the water heating unit). Oh, and an ant colony that sprung out of nowhere one night!...

Sela and her family are kind and friendly. Some might stay at this just as transit accommodation, but worth staying longer. If you like cultural stimuli, ask Sela and the family. They will show Tongan tradition. Location is good to walk to town center.

Well, the owner very nice, especially the grandmother , who gave us a good luck blessing souvenir. But the family who stay next to the dorm room make noise everyday, even on the early morning or night. The boy keep made noise and kick the wood wall. That's why i can sleep well for the 3days and some more got sick....
