I came here with my husband and we loved the island cause of the snorkeling, but that's about it. The room was very basic which was fine but there were 100s of mosquitos in the room with no net for the bed. We asked if they had any insect coils to burn. We got bites all over us.. Therefore it...

Dear Stephaknee4, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Hideaway Island and I am sorry that your visit did not stand up to your expectations. I note from our reservations calendar that you had booked our basic lodge twin share accommodation with shared facilities. These are our basic rooms and are priced accordingly. We do...

The Resort is well equipped and and well placed to explore Vanuatu and do lots of adventure activities. Stayed a week had some great weather, ate drank and toured around the main Island and found the locals and all resort staff to be amongst the friendliest I have met. Price wise is not cheap but compares to AUD quite well....

Would definitely recommend this place if diving and/or snorkelling. I can't believe you can just step off the beach onto some of the most amazing reef! The group of dive instructors were mostly fantastic. We had some interesting experiences with the manager though and found that some tasks were too difficult to get done. Food was great and atmosphere fantastic....

The self contained rooms are expensive, but are very nice. The shared bathroom, rooms were perfect for me, about $80 a night, it just meant you had to walk about 20 feet to a block of toilets and showers, these were very private and neat and clean. But you have the same access to everything else available to the expensive...

If you want to get away from the rat race and technology, and just want to stop - then this is the place to do it. The atmosphere is relaxed. The beaches are coral, clean and some of the best snorkeling I have ever done, fish and coral everywhere - 2 metres from the shore. All the people, from the...

Hi Shaun, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to Hideaway Island and we are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us. Although a little more pricey than the rest of Vanuatu (much more western-oriented) this is truly an earthly paradise. We, a family of 5, had a bungalow next to the beach for 9 days. The incredible thing is, although the beach is made of corals and shoes are necessary, as soon as you put your head under water, you're in...

My friends and I were backpacking in Vanuatu. We didn't stay there, but spent the day and it was amazing! Make sure to order a piña colada and a curry (THE BEST! We tried them all: vegetable, chicken or fish). It's worth your money! And best snorkeling ever! You do not need to go far from the beach to see...

The resort is small and personal. There are only a dozen bungalows and some backpacker type rooms. The beach gets a fair share of day visitors especially when there is a cruise boat in town. Before they arrive and when they have departed, things return to normal. Our lagoon view bungalow looked directly over the water towards Port Vila in...
