Yangon is a very tired city and this hotel is likewise. We stayed 4 nights in a superior room and the size of the room was very good but it was just dirty. The 1st night I pulled hair from the bath hole and this made me Feel sick - yuk The pool area is foul It is classed as...

Pleasant to enjoy the colonial experience in a convenient location for a reasonable price [$80]. Staff were very pleasant & helpful. Although the rooms require some TLC, they function adequately. The lobby area is great for the colonial feel and the breakfast was reasonable. But the main plus is the location; short walk to the market, train station, Sule Pagoda...

Good location, close to Downtown Yangon, Railway station and Shwedagon Pagoda. Unfortunately that is all the good points. A double room is approx. US$100 a night. The rooms are definitely in need of upgrading as it appears that nothing has been done since the hotel was built, there are cracks in the walls, the water from the shower is a...

Although old and in need of some serious maintainance this property was great for me. I loved the location and closeness to the market . The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although the restaurant didnt look much the food was very nice Wifi no good in rooms but ok in lobby

The Yuzana could be so much more, but 1. The roof leaks, 2. There are pigeons in the attic or rafters, 3. The hallways and stairways are rather grungy, 4. Breakfast is unimaginative, 5. Plumbing is quirky (but that applies to almost any hotel in Burma), 6. Too few electric outlets The staff is friendly, but there were always too...

The Hotel has seen better days - On the good side my room was large and opened out onto a large balcony and the staff were excellent. On the bad side the hotel is in urgent need of an upgrade and the breakfast was basic - in the end overpriced for what I paid ($150US) compared to where I stayed...

I feel for the beautiful oldfashioned look of the house, but it seemed deserted, breakfast was boring and unappetizing and rooms were not that clean. The staff did'nt seem to care, and we found a list of all the 6 guests lying around. Not comforting.

I stayed at the Yuzana Garden for 10 nights in the middle of 2014, and got to know the place well. I had chosen the hotel because of its colonial origins - it was originally the rooming house for a British trading company - and I was more than happy to find that it retains its colonial charm and style....

We were there for 3 nights in feb. and 1 night in march 2014. Old(fashioned) hotel. Could use a refit but friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms with good beds. Breakfast o.k.. Bad/no wifi in rooms 409 and 410. ATM in lobby.

“If you stay, ask for a room in the original part of the hotel. There's an addition where I think they put all the online reservations. The hotel is totally inflexible and won't change your room once you're there, so get what you want while booking.”
