The location of this hotel is quite good for going to sightseeing and nightlife, the breakfast was limited of food, the Wifi was very poor for signal even at the lobby area. The water pressure for the shower is not good, the hair dryer was broken which including the socket for the power in front of the bathroom was broken...

We paid $50 for a special deluxe room. Upon arriving, we found their main building was full, and they stuck us in a secondary building next door. It's a long walk up the stairs to get to it. (The main building has an elevator.) The room was huge and clean, but basic. The air conditioner barely ran; we checked two...

Thank you for your stay at East Hotel and your kind understanding of the road side walk construction. It is better now and platform has been restored. We will definitely look into the air-conditioning issue and lights in the room. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our hotel if you have another visit to Yangon.

Nice hotel to discover the city. We changed the rooms at the first day... the conditions of them are different- the first room was smelling and not very nice - the new one was with windows, working shower and a nice view. Ask for it! Breakfast good. Staff very nice. Not noisy at all.

I've traveled in January for a business convention and booked this hotel thru booking.com . The maindraw of this hotel will be the location as its situated right in the middle of the town. Its a walking distance to Sule Pagoda and do not missed the sky bridge to get that perfect shot. Just beside the hotel, right and left...

i stayed one night and find it great and they have maintained their quality as i stayed there in 2011-12. Very clean, nice staff, and location in downtown makes it more attractive. Its good for business traveller and solo types, as there is not much space for kids to play. Staff are ready to help and food is also good...

This hotel is located right next to the main cinemas in town and close to Sule Pagoda. The rooms are good-sized with a TV and coffee-maker. The bed is large and comfortable and everything, including the WiFi, worked fine. The staff were very friendly. My only issue was with the food. I ordered Phad Thai and it was inedible...the wrong...

We were upgraded to a "deluxe" room, but the room was dark, shabby, with poor electrical outlets. Strange odor (is it perfume in the air conditioning or just plain musty smell throughout?). Breakfast was ok but limited options. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the staff were eager to please. This was part of a tour so...

Room was very basic, and the walls were paper thin, but comfortable enough for a night. Nice that there was tons of water just in the corridor if you needed more than the two bottles in your room. Staff were very friendly. Best part about this place was its location - right on Sule Pagoda road, across from the plaza...

I stayed in the East hotel for a couple of days when I first arrived in Myanmar and enjoyed my stay. The staff is very friendly and willing to help organize activities, taxi's et cetera. A bit shabby, not very clean. Smelled musty throughout. Overpriced. Quirky artwork on each floor. A souvenir shop on 1st floor was never open and an abandoned crèche also on 1st floor. My room was at the back overlooking local residential flats. Very grim. Room was dark, more lights needed, no windows opened but the a/c worked well. Toilet in...
