We stayed at Father Land in transit to our next destination and it was a comfortable night with friendly staff and wifi access in the lobby, which was great for our planning. We didn't really realize how little we had planned and how little we actually knew until the owner, Ginny, sat down with us and explained all our options...

We had a clean double room with aircon and tv in this hotel for a fair price of 35 usd. It is a business-style place, so don't expect any boutique style atmosphere. The major disadvantage is the location which is about 4 km away from the major tourist attractions.

It is not exactly a budget hotel, but I can't classify it as a hostel either. A very small scale 4 storey hotel, which is very new. Rooms come with balcony that allows you to catch a glimpse of the quieter side of the town, and you can see the famous shwedagon from far far away too.. we stayed for...

Very helpful staff, good room, a little far from downtown though. We got a punctual wake up call, and no fuss when we stupidly locked our keys in the room. Note: drivers tend to take you to the more famous Motherland by mistake.

I really like this hotel. The owners are Burmese but have lived in the States, so they understand independent travelers, and can communicate in English very well. They were super friendly and very nice. When we were sick and wanted some Chinese porridge they went out of their way and made us some complimentary bowls even though it wasn't on...

I came to `Burma for a 3 week trip starting in January and stayed at the Fatherland for my first 3 nights and last night. It was clean, with delightful staff and owners who live on the top floor. It was a 20 minute taxi ride into town which cost £1.50. The staff helped me catch local buses, book buses...

The hotel was opened on 2012 by the owner and the rooms are clean and modern. $35/per night (breakfast includes) for the regular standard room with Wifi which is cheaper than other hotels that are charging $80 per night with the same service. It's easy to take taxi to anywhere and the service is wonderful. Highly recommended if you like...

Well run modern, clean, nice quiet location only a $2 cab from Cbd. $35 per night inc an average breakfast. Better than $100 rooms in the Cbd. Staff's grasp of English is not great. Owned by charming elderly Chinese couple. Has WiFi. Taxi stand out front. Public buses on road out front, which run into town regularly. Meals are just...
