We stayed here for a couple of nights at the beginning of our trip and we couldn't have been happier. The location is pretty good, right next to the shwedagon pagoda but with the traffic it can take a while to get downtown. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was great (especially the homemade yogurt) and the captains bar...

It is a charming hotel and beautifully clean. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the pool and it was very dark and dinghy. I think it would have been better in a first floor room. There are only 8 sunbeds around the pool and there was no help forthcoming when they were all full. I am gluten intolerant...

This hotel is near the major Buddhist temple, about 20 minutes by foot if you dare to walk, as we did. It has a lovely pool, but not many loungers, so get there early if you want to spend the day there. We had a malfunctioning toilet, which was a pain, but the bed and pillows were great. Breakfast was...

Beautiful old place that just reeks of atmosphere from the colonial days. Staff is gracious (as we found throughout Myanmar) and the food in the restaurant was good with exceptional service. Pool is cosseted in a courtyard and an oasis in the midst of busy Yangon. This hotel is an experience not to be missed.

We stayed here for two nights as a family and took three double rooms. This is a charming 30 room hotel in an old refurbished colonial house. The furniture, the floors (including the bathroom) and the balustrades glisten with well maintained old teak. Everything about this place is atmospheric and the service is superb. The Captain's Bar serves some great...

My family had the pleasure of staying at this world class hotel at the end of our Myanmar trip last July 2015. The hotel ground was impeccable, tucked behind the gate, we felt like we were visiting someone's home. The architecture resembled a former colonial residence, full of character, with antique pieces and art display throughout. The accommodations were first...

Really nice hotel in a busy city. Yangon has major road problems with more cars than space, but this hotel was a quiet haven in a busy city. Their restaurant is first class and service is second to none. A really good place to start your tour. Highly recommended as one of the small hotels.

The hotel has a reputation for grandeur but was actually smaller and cozier than we expected. All the rooms and public areas still retained the old colonial decoration and vibe. Beds were super comfortable and the silk robes were the nicest we've ever seen in a hotel. The lobby was a bit small, but always filled with fresh flowers. We...

Lovely hotel with elegant, colonial style. Good location. Nice restaurant where you can sit inside or outside next to pool. Good choice of food and good service which in Yangon is not easy to find. Pricy but worth it.
