Hotel Blue Pearl is well situated near the business center of Seoul. you can get to Coex Mall and conference center on foot (15 minutes) or by taxi (3 minutes, about 2 US$). There's also a Metro station not far away (I'm not good with korean names, I guess it was cheongdong). The hotel lobby is very small, so is...

The Hotel's located in a business district and walking distance to authentic korean resto. Convenience store was just behind the Hotel. It's about 3-4 blocks away from Branded Boutiques also. We got the perfect view of the city, it was very nice to watch especially at night... don't worry you can't here sound's of cars outside. Our room's on the...

I had read mixed critics about this hotel and decided after all to go for it particularly because of its good price. At first, when we arrived in Seoul from Bangkok at 9 am in the hotel lobby, I felt like we had landed on the other side of the border. The lady at the reception desk did not give...

At first glance, I thought this is just an ordinary hotel with average room but...... Wait till you enter the room. The Lobby was a bit small. The check in for our group of 11 was very efficient, of course with the help from our Korean tour guide. Initially I tough from the look of the small lobby, the room...

The Blue Pearl is located near the Han River in downtown Seoul. It is, however, a huge city and the hotel isn't near any major attractions. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the setting is a rather generic concrete jungle with a few restaurants nearby but not a lot to choose from. Be prepared to do some...

I came to Seoul for a big conference in May 2012. On a tight budget and having registered late, not only were all the low to mid-range rooms offered by the conference taken, but the other hotels in the vicinity of Coex also had little room. In the end we went a bit over our budget and booked the Blue...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during a business trip in Seoul and found this hotel is an excellent service provider for its guests. Staffs are very much helpful, cordial and smiley. Location is also great to get connected with rest of the Seoul. The only point I would like to bring attention of the hotel management is...

Pros: The view is stunning. We had a room facing the large road that comes straight toward the hotel: it was a fantastic urban view, especially at night with the lights. There was a bit of noise from the traffic, but not much. The room, bed and bathroom were all large and well-proportioned. The lighting was good, and there was...

This hotel was visited late at night so I could not tell you everything about it. But the facilities in the room were more than adequate, the water was hot, there were amenities, there was a separate shower and bath, there were plenty of TV channels (only 2 channels for our child though), the free wireless internet was adequate -...

After searching for a place to stay that was not actually a love motel in disguise. We finally found the Blue Pearl. It was a bit above our budget but we needed to stay in a proper hotel with professional staff. The room was spacious and it had a real nice view over the river. The bathroom had a nice...

Staying in Apgujeong / Cheongdam

Neighbourhood Profile
Apgujeong / Cheongdam
Aside from Sinsa / Garosugil, no other area in Seoul connotes the words “luxury” and “fancy” like Apgujeong and Cheongdam. Global luxury brands have set up their flagship stores here, catering to the neighbourhood's mostly affluent residents. It’s also one of the top areas in Korea (some say the world) for cosmetic surgery, attracting hundreds of thousands each year for a little nip or tuck. The other parts of Apgujeong and Cheongdam are mostly lavish residential buildings for some of Seoul’s most affluent alongside extravagant restaurants, bars, spas, and other spots for indulgence. And Cheongdam has long been a bastion for flashy clubs and parties, though in recent years, Itaewon has emerged as a strong challenger to those claims.
