Check-in and out were fairly easy. Staff were ok. Room had a weird smell when I walked in. I checked in late at night, so I was too tired to find out source, and started unpacking without asking for room change. Later, I found out it was from the toilet, dried urine smell!!! Wet wipes, spraying of hand sanitiser on seat, flush, bidet, and under seat to bottom of bowl, None helped. The toilet was totally separated from the shower, so I couldn't hose it down. The worst thing was that the doors of the toilet were designed with huge gaps above. I could not confine the smell to the toilet. It was wafting all over the room! So I had to contend with urine smell in the room the whole night. 3am I finally thought of adding shampoo to the bowl and flushing that down. Finally, I either got used to the smell or got rid of it, or was too exhausted and fell asleep. Checked out ASAP next morning...argh! Shall never stay at this hotel again..

This was a business/leisure stay, overall we were a little disappointed for a hotel of this standard. Pros - [ ] Great bed - [ ] Great hot shower - [ ] 10 minute walk to metro Line 3 Cons - [ ] There is a sensor light in foyer, so when you walk into the room it turns on, however this light also work in the middle of the night when going to the bathroom, we could not find a way to turn it off so this was super annoying. - [ ] Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss, some days things (water) replaced others not. - [ ] Breakfast has limited space at times, at one point 16 people waiting to be seated. - [ ] Rooms service stops at 8pm, but there was nothing in the room to advise you of this. - [ ] Sound proofing for traffics noise could be better (they do provide earplugs) We were thankfully on the 18th floor, but it was still noisey at times.

My wife and I wanted to celebrate her completion of a grueling 7-month government/professional certification program. Since we had never tried out this 4P Seoul Gangnam, we thought we'd give it a try. I reserved it on a points + cash booking (7500pts + 75k KRW). (Bonvoy members: I tried throwing an SNA at it, but it came back rejected.) The morning of my check-in date, I sent the front desk a message via the chat: "Since I'm Titanium, could I pay an upgrade amount for the Penthouse Suite, as I am celebrating my wife's completion of her program". They responded that the Penthouse Suite could only be reserved with a cash-only booking, and that they would move me up to the top of the regular suite upgrade list, in case somebody cancelled their suite reservation. If you are driving in, there is *only* valet parking, at 15k KRW per night (with full in/out privileges). The staff picks up your car, and parks it downstairs in a basement area via a car elevator. At check-in, I learned that I had indeed been upgraded to the basic (Queen bed) suite, as somebody had cancelled. It was a wonderful experience to be upgraded on such a meaningful day. We even had a nice note and a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room when we opened the door. The suite (#2102) does not disappoint. Aside from the usual stuff (e.g. Nespresso machine and capsules, mini fridge, safe), our suite came with couch/sofa area that could seat up to 7 people (!), plus a work table that could seat up to 3 people. It is feasible to have a VERY comfortable party for 5-6 people in this common area alone, just chilling out (But do beware, the hotel knows about this potential, and warns against in in the guidelines/T&C. This area was partitioned off from the bedroom via floor-to-ceiling dark frosted thick heavy glass double doors. We also had an LG Tromm Styler in that common area, which was able to dry clean our clothes after our restaurant night out. (I used it for my formal shirt, smelly from our BBQ dinner outing, and it smelled like fresh from the wash after cleaned in the Styler.) The thermometer was adjustable for temperature but the fan speed was not. I think the bathroom is also really wonderful. It only has one sink but that one sink is very big. The shower booth is so big, it could probably fit 3 people showering in there. :D And lastly, the bathtub had its own mirror which doubled as a 24" (!!!) TV with remote. My wife took a long bath and watched TV at the same time. There are decent restaurants in the area. My wife and I had dinner on check-in day and dinner on check-out day at Texas de Brazil (churrascaria) and Sichuan House, in the B1 level of the Andaz Seoul Gangnam, just about 2 blocks away. Both were OK, but we think you'll find plenty of other restaurants within a 5-block radius that are far better. Breakfast was more than adequate, in the 3rd floor restaurant. A noodle station, a handful of hot Western foods (the hash browns were very warm, much warmer than usual hotel breakfast buffets!), a handful of hot Korean foods. The cold items (i.e. salad, fruit, pastries) were fresh but didn't have a lot of variety, but it was just about what would be expected from an Asian 4P breakfast. Certainly good enough to start the day. As Titanium, we were glad to get the 4pm late checkout. From first stepping into the hotel, to checking back out, all the staff were great. If this hotel's staff were to be declared Marriott's best Seoul, I would totally believe it. Cons: It's perhaps worth mentioning that, in the evening, you can hear sports cars or motorbikes racing down the streets. That's why the hotel room includes earplugs, readily seen under the TV when you walk in. Also, in the suite, the bathroom door that connected both the common area and the bedroom was frosted but translucent. Not sure why! My wife showered/bathed in the middle of the night, after our very exhausting celebration day, and it shined through bright enough into the bedroom that it bothered me a bit to sleep. Oh... and there's no pool and as of October 2022, the sauna is closed. So if you need either, you will need to look elsewhere (the Westin Seoul would likely work). The bottom line, for me: Very good hotel... not bling-bling luxury but still very very good, especially given its location and the spaciousness of the room + common area. When it comes to *paying cash* for rooms in the $300-350 range (all-in price), the regular suite ("Suite, 1 Bedroom 1 Queen, City view") at this hotel may be the most relaxing all-around hotel room in Gangnam, maybe Top 5 in all of Seoul. You'll have a ton of room to spread out, especially if you're just traveling as a couple.

Stayed here for a 10 days and moved from the AC hotel in gangnam. Rooms are much bigger, I was upgraded to a premium queen, which is odd shaped, but a spacious bedroom and beautiful view. At the AC I was upgraded to a premium room, from a basic room, and the difference was a coffee maker in the tiny room. 237 sqft. As a titanium elite. While I think the AC has a better breakfast buffet and lounge (non at Sheraton) the Sheraton is a MUCH better place with great comfort and employees. Choose wisely, but by far Sheraton 4 points gagnman is a better property.

It has a good location where you can find local restaurants and shopping street called GaRoSu Gil. And they offer a wide range of breakfast buffet at the main restaurant on the 3rd floor. The room we've been assigned was pretty small and felt a little confined, but its high ceiling made us feel better. There is a coin laundry room on the 6th floor, which is very convenient for long-term travelers.

We've stayed in Marriotts all over Seoul, and we adore the Four Points Myeongdong, so we were looking forward to trying this property. Unfortunately, the first impression was not good. We arrived approximately one hour before official check in, and when I went to the front desk and gave the man my ID and credit card, he rudely shoved it back and said, "Your room is not ready yet." I thought he should have at least offered to hold our bags so we could take a walk. I asked where we could wait as the "lobby" has one couch, which was already full of waiting guests. He had no suggestions. I saw that to the right was the hotel bar, so I asked if we could wait there. He nodded. Not a friendly or welcoming first impression. However, all of that changed when we went to the bar and ordered drinks. Bella was FANTASTIC. I would literally come back to the hotel just for her. She was friendly and knowledgeable and immediately warned us that they didn't have olives when we ordered a martini and offered an alternative. When it was after official check in time, we purposely went to a different representative. He also was not friendly or welcoming. Because of our Titanium status, he said we could pick a welcome drink: beer or something else that I couldn't understand. I said we'd like the beer. He then said they were out of beer and handed me 2 Capri Suns. Since we are not five years old, we did not appreciate that "amenity". Our suite (we used a suite night award) was beautiful, and we loved the aesthetics. There's even a TV over the bathtub! However, there is no door between the bedroom and living room, which is inconvenient when one person sleeps earlier or later than the other (which is why we like suites in the first place). We went back to the bar for dinner, and Bella was wonderful... but I have to say, that was probably the worst pizza I've ever been served. Especially compared to the Four Points Myeongdong or the Four Points Seoul Station, which have really good pizza. *Note: the bar has very strange hours, so if you're looking forward to spending time there, make sure they are open to avoid disappointment! At breakfast the next morning, we met Ella. Another star! She was so kind and attentive. We were joking that we wanted to start a company and hire both Bella and Ella because we'd be successful no matter what! They are gems who make this hotel worth going to.

The property who has the sunset view of La La Land and who loves Apples - Feat. Romero Britto from New York Software: Even though it is category 3 property, the quality standard is beyond expectation with good heritage of Sheraton. The Check-In and Check-Out process is nice and smooth. Avolution, the dining restaurant has very good value for the money. The menu changes little by little every day, so I'm not tired of food. Hardware: The best thing about this property is its good location (near Sinsa and Apgujeong subway stations and Garosu-gil) as well as its good facilities (with Fitness Club, Sauna and Coin Laundry) Room condition is good (along with clean House Keeping) and especially, the Dining Table, LG Tromm Styler and Bathtub with TV for Suite Room are very helpful for comfortable stay. Valet parking is 2K KRW for dining guests and 15K for room guests (multiple uses for one night stay), but should take enough time to get a car because it is parked through car-elevator.

Hardware: The advantage of this property is its location which is near Sinsa and Apgujeong subway stations and Garosu-gil. Being newly opened in year 2018, it is very clean, already with necessary facilities (sauna, fitness, business center etc.) and good room condition. I like this Suite with LG Tromm Styler. I also like bathtub with TV. The only weakness seems to be parking inside the building through car-elevator, or valet parking at 2000 KRW for dining guests and 15000 KWR for room guests (mutiple uses for one night stay). Software: Even though it is category 3 property, the quality standard is beyond expectation with top notch service. (Special thanks to Sophie and Jimmy) With good heritage of Sheraton, this property is recommended for all solo, couples, family and business.

Location is also nice in central Gangnam, Seoul. The only weakness seems to be parking inside the building through car-elevator, but it does not matter much because valet parking is available just at 3000 KRW in case of visiting restautant, and 15000 KWR for mutiple uses for one night stay. Software: Even though it is category 3 property, the quality standard is above expectation with top notch service. I have stayed in Four Points Hotel by Gangnam for 5 months+, from May to October 2020. This is the hotel take extra mile. Warm people. Great service. Best location. Superb View. I am so fortunate to be there. First, extra mile. Before out of quarantine, they were the only hotel out of more than ten hotels that I contacted, to take all the trouble to contact authorities, to get all necessary certificate and document, to fulfill pandemic government requirement for hotels. No one else did these, just refused me. And the person helping me, was Ethan. Second, Warm people and Great Service. Ms Jennifer Lee, the General Manager, was so kind to meet me for insightful chat over coffee just before I left Seoul. I know each of front desk people. Jimmy Hwang, the manager, and his team would greet me every time see me, by my name “Mr Chow”. Jimmy helped me a number of things out of his capacity. Bruno helped me moving my lot-of-things when room change. Other staffs help me a lot too — Sophie, Josephine, Grace, Leah, Claire, Jinny, to name a few. What’s more, I was always surprised to find snacks, cake, or cheese platter complimentary from hotel when I got back room, even more surprising was the Chusoek paper fan, and Chuseok traditional snack that Jimmy personally brought over to me in the room, and Jimmy in traditional costume! Third, Best Location. You can’t imagine how convenient it is. Walking distance to Garosu-gil, prime shopping and dining area for youngster and tasteful people; also nearby is Dosan park and Apgujeong area, where all the local and international luxury names are there, plus having highest density of Michelin starred restaurants. No trouble at all to get taxi in front of hotel, or subway / bus all are nearby. Last but not least, there is a nice park on a small hill opposite to hotel, where I had jogging every weekend! Forth, Superb View. Four Points Gangnam is the tallest building in the neighborhood. Every room are with more than 180 degree panoramic view of several kilometers. Seoul tower, mountains, Breath-taking sunset! I am sure I will be back Seoul, I am sure I will return Four Points Gangnam. It’s my home in Seoul! I miss you, Four Points Gangnam!
