Dasig kindly helped me check in, which was the first step to my happiness at this hotel. The design was traveled on, the ambience was great, and the bar made my stay a special one. Everyone here was friendly and attentive, and the room was quiet, which allowed us to focus on each other and have many conversations. My only complaint is that the tablet cameras in the room are not covered, which is annoying.
Just back from a 6 night stay at L'Escape Hotel in Seoul. The hotel is situated in Downtown Seoul right on top of a Subway Station making it so easy to get to all the tourist attractions, shopping, nightlife and markets, The hotel itself is full of character, the rooms are charming and spacious with beautiful marble bathrooms. They really have managed to capture a sense of Parisian style in the heart of this amazing Asian city. There is a great bar on the top floor serving wonderful cocktails, there is a guest library for chilling out, and a secret den that serves beers and snacks. There is an on-site Starbucks Reserve which is ideal for breakfasts, superb coffees and a great view of the Namsan Tower. The staff are really good, super helpful, friendly and efficient. If you want boutique over the usual 5 star chains then this is the place to choose - go for it, you won't be disappointed.…
I LOVED this hotel. I was looking for something memorable for my trip to Seoul and this hotel made the list. I wanted to find something with character that didn't look exactly like every other hotel in the world and this was it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I actually left my phone in a taxi one of the days and Sidney, one of the front dest employees, was able to contact the company and get my phone back within an hour. I am so happy I found this hotel and plan to stay here for any future trips I have to Seoul.
Please heed this warning. I booked for a seven night stay only to find out through my booking agent that the hotel would request a deposit of $1075usd for a 7 night stay. Then, when I confirmed this, I was informed that the deposit would be accepted in CASH only. I had already paid the FULL stay with my credit card, so there was no reason to request such an exorbitant and unreasonable deposit. Perhaps they're running a money-changing scheme...who knows? I'd recommend steering clear of a place like that.
The service at the hotel was excellent. The room is very clean and comfortable. It is quiet and the furniture is very pretty. I will definitely come back next time. Thank you Daniel for your wonderful service!
Hoteliers are very professional especially Mr. Daniel. The room condition is clean and comfortable. I'm glad to recommend this hotel. The location is also very good because bus and subway station is nearby
I am a frequent visitor to L'escape and would like to have an opportunity to thank Daniel Park, a guest service manager at the front. He is attentive and friendly, making my stay more memorable. Thank you Daniel.
I only stayed for 1 night, but I had great service. The staff was courteous, responded to our request right away, and was very helpful with all questions we had. We stayed in "Secret" room. It was spacious. A unique hotel with great service.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in the Grand Deluxe Atelier room. Reception is on level 6 of the building which makes it feel like you're staying in a private apartment block instead of a hotel. This was something i personally enjoyed. Great care and attention to detail has been taken in the decorating and furnishing of the rooms and seeing the detail in the embroidery in person is just astounding. The bed was so comfortable and i woke up every morning feeling refreshed and energised ready for the day. The room was kept thoroughly cleaned and was comfortably spacious. I opted for the breakfast package which was hosted by the Palais de Chine restaurant and enjoyed having breakfast every morning. The staff also took food allergies into consideration and offered alternate options for me. The hotel is also located close to Hoehyeon and Myeongdong stations which makes for an easy time to go about daily activities. It is also located close to the palaces as well as Namsan, museums and markets. All the staff were so friendly and accomodating and were able to resolve any concerns or queries that i had promptly and efficiently. Their library which is open to guests only was a perfect place to relax in outside of the confines of the room. I also enjoyed a couple of drinks at the Den bar and Marque D'amour (The bubble cocktail is delicious) Overall i enjoyed my stay with L'escape Hotel and i look forward to staying with them again in the future :)…
This is our 2nd time staying in this hotel. The 1st time is in December 2019 as our last trip before covid19 broke out. Why did we choose to stay here the 2nd time when we're in Seoul? Because we simply LOVE it! First, it's located in a convenient place, just 1 minute walk from the Hoehyeon subway station, and about 10 minutes walk to Myeongdong shopping district. There's also a big department store, Shinsegae, to which you can reach from the underground tunnel via Hoehyeon subway station. Second, the hotel is elegantly decorated with a style said to be "Belle Epoch." The warm interior color and lighting make you feel like you just walk into a mansion. The decoration of the flower arrangements change with the season and indeed are some finer touch of the hotel property. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the furniture and interior are thoughtfully arranged for the guests' comfort and convenience. Beds are comfortable. The comforters and pillows are fluffy, so are the bath towels, robes, and slippers. Other amenities including high-end French brand Diptyque for the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, are all deemed to make the guests' stay even more pleasant. Third, the service is superb--from the reception staff to the cleaning lady are all courteous, greeting us when encountered, and are certainly helpful. Daniel from the reception desk helped us booking with the Palais de Chine, one of the restaurants in the hotel property, and also arranging the taxi when we're leaving. We really appreciated that Daniel and another gentleman from the reception desk on 2/23/2023 who helped us with our luggage to the taxi as well. Forth, the restaurants in the property including several we've tried--Palais de Chine, L'Ament Secret, and the beautiful bar Marque D'amour are beyond words. The food, drink, the atmosphere, the interior design, and the service are superb! Fifth, the "library" is just so beautiful--you can sit around and relax, read a magazine and take some photos since the surroundings are so picture-worthy. There's also a gym in the hotel property for you to keep in shape. If there's no other reason to visit Korea, we'll always find that L'escape Hotel is the best reason to come and spend our vacation here.…
