As a Titanium member, I usually stick with Marriott's whenever I travel, especially in Seoul where there are multiple Courtyards. I usually prefer the Courtyard in Namdaemun as most of my stays are long term and that hotel has a laundry room in the basement. However, I usually stay at this property if I want to be near my family.

Differences: The Courtyard Times Square has larger rooms and a desk compared to the Namdaemun property, which is a positive. They also provide Platinums and higher their breakfast in the main restaurant versus the Club Lounge. The happy hour spread at Times Square is also better. Being connected to the mall helps when you want to grab some food but do not want to go outside.

My main complaint about this hotel is the HVAC system as the rooms tend to be very hot and you cannot adjust the temperature of the room. I was told that rooms facing Yeungdeungpo station tend to be hotter than rooms facing the fire station, which is why I switched rooms in the middle of my stay. This turned out to be true but it still was still too hot for my liking, so the staff brought over a fan to help cool down the room.

Aside from that, I would still stay at this hotel in the future if I need to be near my family. However, if the rate difference compared to the Fairfield is significant, I might give that place a shot.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights in December 2019, for the U2 concert in Seoul. The check-in process is smooth and efficient. The hotel staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable about their guests' requirements. The fact that almost all front desk staff speak English is a plus.

The hotel and the rooms are very clean. I am particularly happy with the bathroom, with its modern design and clean lines. Since Seoul is very cold, especially during this time, it is understandable that there was no air-conditioning, but hey, the rooms were still comfortably chilly. I like chilly.

The Marriott was a very nice place to stay. I think the high points are the location (right next to a huge shopping mall and tons of restaurants nearby). The staff were super nice and spoke English very well.

The room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I also liked the fact that it didn't require you to use your card key to power on the lights. Although some hotels may think this is an added convenience, I always felt this to be an annoyance.

Short comings:
1. restaurant was closed during odd hours (after 6pm). I would think that this is the best time to serve dinner.
2. no shaver provided. Would have been nice to have one.
3. I had the city view room, but it wasn't much of a view. Advice to other, save your money and don't bother with staying in the city view room.
4. Room service was EXPENSIVE, but very good.
5. Having to take 2 different elevators to get from the ground floor to my room was kind of annoying. Lobby should be on the first floor and not the fifth floor.

Lack of USB charging ports is a shame considering it is 2022 at this Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Times Square Hotel. We booked more than one room at Titanium Elite Level. The toilets are low flow or low water flush toilets which have signs saying not to flush toilet roll tissue down the toilet. Toilet has risk of clogs or need of toilet service. The prior Seoul Hotel we stayed at had an electric bidet style toilet with automatic flush and heated surface. The room has a built in single luggage table and no other foldable luggage stand in the room. No hotel self serve washer dryer. The Executive Lounge is closed earlier than expected in the evening. There is a room safe. There is a room electric water kettle with instant coffee single packets. There is a small mini fridge that is shallow and will keep a few short height drinks. There are 2 cotton robes and disposable slippers. Hotel entrance is at Level B1 by the food restaurant floor of the mall or Gate 2 at street level. I’m surprised there are no USB charge outlets at the bedside tables nor at the room work desk.

Along with Breakfast Buffet and Happy Hour with snack and Alcoholic Beverage Service, Extra ordering A La Carte is also available, various dishes for Korean and international food, which is in deed good point for Happy Hour.
Especially, LA Ribs, Hot Chicken Wing, Pizza and Hamburger are recommended.

Even though it can be different from higher
As the property is at Times Square, a big shopping mall, the advantage is the direct & easy access to the mall.

Staffs are kind and attentive. (I thank to Ms. Diana Han for her top notch service! She remembers me even though I visit after a year. I also thank to Ms. Whang.
There is also Affiliate Discount at many restaurants/shops in Times Square.
Compared to room rates, I can say that it is the property with most cost-benefit and good value for the money, and I really enjoy my stay.

Following to my first stay in this property in last March (thanks to Ms. Hannah Yun), I had a chance to stay again in April.

Again, my impression was so nice! Room condition is good and bed is comfortable. Even though club lounge does not offer happy hour (due to Covid-19), the foods with Momo Cafe are tasty and unique.
From the express check-in to check-out, staffs were so kind and especially very attentive and hospitable. Even with a "Chat with us" on Bonvoy app, I could get very prompt and right feed back (especially thanks to "Diana" from front desk)

I will be looking forward to staying in this property again any time soon.

We stayed 3 nights in Seoul at this Courtyards and were pleased with our accomodations The room was a good size, the bed comfortable and we took advantage of a large workout room with lots of good equipment. If walking from the subway, be sure and go through the "underground shopping" to get to the hotel, its an easy 10 minute walk. We made the mistake of going outside and got hopelessly lost. Staff at the hotel are very kind and responsive to questions and needs. Good location at a reasonable cost.

The property is located in the central of western Seoul, near Yeoui Island.
It has been open since year 2009 and is proud of her software (top notch service, kindness, attentiveness and hospitality) driven by GM, Mr. Chris Lee.
My journey in this property started pleasantly and delightfully from Express Check-In by Front desk with Ms. Jalie Lee.

Along with impressive software, I would like to introduce her nice hardware, so called Urban Oasis.
Even though the property is located in old central, she has beautiful outdoor gardens on the lobby floor where there are also easy access for Shinsegae department store and Times Square.
The best is her executive floor lounge on 15th floor with rooftop garden.
Everyone can be happy and relaxed if reading books under shiny sunshine while drinking tea offered from this executive lounge.

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel during our September trip. Thanks to Lucy from the frontdesk for arranging a birthday amenity for my Wife, we appreciate it, she speaks very good English as well. Also, thanks to Jason from the concierge, he's been helpful before and during our stay. The hotel is close to a railway station and there is a shopping center next to it.

Just some few issues.
First is that when i arranged a transport from the hotel to airport on a specific date, the person on the front desk was not attentive, instead the booking was incorrectly made a day in advance. The following day, we received a call early in the morning that a taxi is waiting, we had to wake up from our short sleep.
Second, the room that was assigned to is dark due lighting problems. We raised the issue to the counter on our second day and it was not resolved. But thanks to Jason when we contacted him by e-mail on our final night, he managed to arrange engineering team to fix the lights.

Overall the room was clean and nice.

Frankly speaking, I have no big expectation for Courtyard overall. But this Courtyard is different from Check-in process (especially thanks to Ms. Hannah Yun) and the speedy feed back and top notch service of the staffs in the Momo Cafe.

Unfortunaly again I could not sleep in my room because of another appointment in other area. But (even though I could not have chance to experience my room) the room condition was beyond of my much expectation. If you have any plan to stay in the west part of Seoul (or nearby Yeoeui Island), I would really like to recommed this Courtyard. You will not be dissapointed both with hardware and software!
