Located near city centre of Seoul Motel B will provide all amenities for people looking for affordable and cheap hotel in Seoul. Even though price is cheap compared to expensive city of Seoul, one will get everything you need for short or long tour in terms of basic facilities. Owner and his wife are very friendly and courteous. Good for... More

Good location. Staff very friendly. Gave us some snacks after we left. Reasonable price as well. The room is small but it has what you need. Walking distance from Seodaemun Station, Exit 5. I would go again if the situation ask for it.

First time in Seoul and first hotel we booked: great welcome, great room and great location from line 5 Subway Seodaemun. Everything very convenient. We spent 4 nights visiting most of Seoul attractions. One Nanta theater is 10 minutes walking distance. The owner of the hotel is amazingly nice and helpful with everything you need. In the room you will... More

There is a airport shuttle bus, which stops nearby and makes going to and from the airport simple. Good thing is that the motel is located close to a subway station, which makes traveling around town much easier. Surrounding the motel has a couple of eateries, so getting meals are easy. The motel is small and simple, rooms are also... More

The unprepossessing entrance (up steps) belies the comfort to be found within. Mr Kim went out of his way to be helpful. It was typical of the kindness I found in Korea. I stayed in a room which was clean and comfortable with air conditioning, bathroom supplies and soft drinks in the fridge. That the room was windowless somehow made... More

Mr. Kim is the friendly and helpful owner. Four of us stayed 19 nights in his small and small priced hotel. A great place in the centre of a great city. Culture, architecture, shops, markets, food, cheap taxi's, perfect subway system, parks, palaces, 24 hour economy, bars, theaters, football, baseball, nightlife, it's all there in abundance hard to cope. I was on an official trade mission and didn't want to pay international hotel prices so booked Motel B, I was more than happy with it. What I hadn't appreciated is that in Seoul, whilst it is possible to pay international prices for almost everything, a second much more value economy exists. This does mean adapting a little to local... More

We spent four nights in this motel at the end of our trip across Japan and Korea, and we were very happy with our choice. The location is a stones through away from city hall and many of the tourist attractions in Seoul. Add to that the fact that the rooms are clean and comfortable, and at a very good... More

We selected the Motel B based on the previous reviews and we weren't disappointed. Location is very good and the owner is very friendly. Internet is free and there is a PC in the room (ours had Korean and Japanese language only, so typing English was a problem). The rooms can be quite noisy. Drinks in the fridge are free.... More

Staying in Seodaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Seodaemun
Walk within this area, centered on what used to be the western gate of traditional Seoul, and you'll get a glimpse of Korea’s past through the beautiful and historic buildings that are scattered throughout. Whether wandering around Deoksugung’s palace walls or touring more historically somber sites such as Seodaemun Prison, this is one of the best places for culture, architecture, and history lovers. Jeongdong in particular is a beautiful place for a stroll in spring and autumn.
