Good for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The hotel entrance was well-designed, and staff immediately came to help with baggage at the front door. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom consisted of a nice bathtub, a roomy shower, and a powerful air-conditioner. The luxury brand Byredo is used for shampoo, shower gel, and hair conditioner. The bed is comfortable and cozy; a speaker on the bedside table is a bonus.
The gym was quite mind-blowing and had plenty of equipments and space. The swimming pool was heated and large. The spa was delightful and offered relaxing massages.
The hotel was also quite convenient as it is located in a mall, and going for supper at a food stall in the mall was quite easy. Would recommend to stay at this hotel.

I also like the separate toilet room for privacy and the separate spacious shower room. The fantastic outview over Skyline makes every room as a Photo Point, so called 뷰맛집 (a famous view restaurant)
In the elevator, the function of automatic access to my room floor by scanning room key will be needed asap, without necessity for pressing my floor.
Software: It is unfortunate that benefits for elite members have decreased. Nevertheless, I feel this hotel as one of the best properties in Korea because of excellent top notch service with kindness, professionalism and customized attentiveness. Special thanks to Mr. Erick Yoo, Duty Manager and I really enjoy the stay in your esteemed property.

Style. Art deco vibes and glamour. Designed by Humbert & Poyet.
Rooms. Waited ten minutes to checkin but appreciated the 4 pm checkout. Stayed in entry level state room 3210 — North facing room. The 44m of space here felt smaller vs Four Season’s entry level room, maybe because the view was partially blocked by Centerfield next door, the bed faced a tall cabinet that hid the mini bar and the desk, gadgets i.e. the chunky cube air purifiers took up precious space. Otherwise, the room was supremely comfortable.
Service I left for dinner at 615 pm, turned off do not disturb sign but there was no turndown service when I returned 3 hours later.
@ the hotel. Art and location. You’ll see Daniel Arsham’s blue calcite eroded Moses as soon as you enter the hotel. Location is excellent. I prefer Four Seasons Seoul’s room & service but stayed at Josun as at 4S, felt like every ride to any restaurant I like would be 40 minutes away by cab.
Food & drinks. Was at Eatanic Garden 2 months ago and it was absolutely fantastic, would return to Josun to stay just because of Eatanic.
Prices. US$452
Rating. 4/5 Beautiful hotel, fantastic restaurant

As far as I know this is the most expensive/luxurious Marriott property in Korea. Unfortunately that didn’t mean that the hotel was best.
Pros: 1. Received complimentary Titanium upgrade to a really great looking room even on a reward stay.
2. Property is pretty new and shiny, good amenities, although some were under construction.
Cons: 1. Received no reception at the ground level reception area, which meant no one told us that the lobby is on the 25th floor by the name of “Grand Reception”. We had to back track and flag down a staff to figure this out.
2. An employee decided to cut in line and rush into the elevator before us. Well a group of us since she cut off everyone.
3. Requested house keeping around 10 AM on the way out. House keeping wasn’t done until after 3 PM, preventing us jet lagged couple to get some rest right away. Not sure where to go, so went to “Grand reception” so that we can sit somewhere.
4. One staff at the reception told us that she checked the status for the room and that it will tike about 40 minutes to finish house keeping. She checked in with us at 20 minute mark and told us that she will be back in another 20 min to check on the house keeping status again.
No one came to us after over 30 minutes so we talked to someone else to see if the room was ready. Different staff tried to dismiss us saying that it’s been only 20 minutes since we requested house keeping when it takes around 40 min. We explained that we request it in the morning. She told us that since house keeping is done in order we must have requested it too late. Overall very odd interaction from a high end hotel.
5. There is no blackout curtain, just a general one which lets light in from all edges.
All in all very disappointing experience for a luxury collection property. We won’t be returning since there are plenty of Marriott properties in Korea which offer better value and service.

The entrance is a bit difficult to find since it is in the parking garage underground. Check in is up about 20 floors...but the porters in the garage are very helpful. The hotel is new and very high tech. Everything in the room is automated and or accessible via an ipad. The dining room was just fine....and the ground floor of the building has a food court that allows for some for flexibility. The location is the other side of the river from downtown and in the newer richer part of Seoul (Gangnam-Gu) not far from the street with Prada , Max Mara, Gucci, Carolina Herrera etc. I hated that to get downstairs to the exit in the garage you had to change elevators from where the rooms are located.

We stay at luxury hotels all over the world usually with Marriott, and we have to say the Josun is truly one of our new favorites! It is absolutely beautiful and offers the best views of any of the other luxury hotels we stayed at in Seoul. We stayed June 28th and 29th, so sorry for not writing this review sooner as I had wanted to.
What makes this hotel so special is the incredible staff who are welcoming from the moment you arrive. There was ALWAYS someone there to open our doors, always someone in the lobby to talk to if we had any questions or needed recommendations. Just staff everywhere to help you with whatever you needed.
During check in Emily and Josephine could not have been more kind. They made us feel like valued guests and truly went above and beyond our expectations. We were so happy with the room thank you both so much.
Celine was kind and took great care of us showing us to our room and around the property. She was in the arrival lobby many times when we were leaving and coming back and was always special to visit with her.
Thanks also to Aiden the concierge who helped us. He was very knowledgeable. And finally to Aiden who provided a smooth check out.
The welcome Yoozoo camomile drink is fantastic, highly recommend!
Our only concern was dinner at The great hong yuan restaurant. It is absolutely beautiful and the Chinese food was fantastic. They were kind to get us same day reservations, however, after we placed our order our waiter he never came back to check on us, he disappeared and no one else ever came by once to check in on us. We had to find someone at end to ask for check. For the price and luxury restaurant we were shocked.
Otherwise everything was perfect and we can’t wait to return!

My friends and I decided to splurge on a few nights at Josun Palace and it was worth every cent. The hotel is stunning - from the design to the interiors, and the service. Every staff member was very considerate and polite, and almost all of them spoke fluent English. The concierge was extremely helpful in helping us book taxis, and the buffet breakfast was exceptional! it's quite pricey (from memory 77,000 KRW) however we had a members deal so it was included. We felt at ease travelling during Covid due to the cleanliness and mask-wearing rules around the hotel. We made some great memories during our stay and I would highly recommend!

Beautiful modern and luxurious hotel in Gangnam. I stayed for 7 nights and the staff made me feel at home. I would definitely stay again when I come back to Seoul.
Most outstanding was the Concierge team, particularly Ms. Sally Ji, who made my stay at Josun Palace and visit in Seoul extra special.
I had the Grand Masters room and I'm a Platinum member so I had access to the daily breakfast buffet (huge variety of offerings), afternoon coffee/tea/cookie and evening wine service.
Room was spacious and had great views of Seoul. All the amenities I needed were there and housekeeping was always quick to respond. Pool, gym and sauna looked really nice but I chose not to use it out of covid precaution.
The hotel has been opened for about a year and is located inside the Centerfield East & West Centers where there's an Emart convenience store, pharmacy, restaurants and several coffee shops like Koffee Sniffers & Starbucks Reserve. The neighborhood also has excellent local food like soondae soup, beef sullungtang, noodles, sushi and KBBQ.
Easy access to taxi, buses and subway.

The location in the Gangnam area is strategic. All the amenities are top-notch, reflecting the level of the Luxury Collection brand. The staff were very friendly. We arrived early in the morning due to our flight schedule, and they kindly allowed us to use the spa facilities to prepare ourselves for our meetings.
