I would like to commend your sous chef, his name is Ju Hun Mun from breakfast buffet flavors. He is so kind and very helpful especially to my 3 yr old son and my wife, assisting us in getting food from the buffet. I have been staying in this hotel since 2015 before the renovation in 2017. Food taste and quality has improve a lot and also consistent unlike other hotels sometimes change a little the taste. If i compare jw marriot to other hotels i have stayed before, lotte and shilla, flavors alreadt out done these hotels especially with korean food options. I would also like to mention kim sung ho from concierge, he went way beyond to give us information about almost anything we needed especially rt-pcr test prior to leaving korea. He is generally one of the best assest of your hotel.

An excellent hotel if you want to stay in the Gangnam area. I stayed there with my wife for a couple of weeks. Bonvoy Platinum status was well recognized with room upgrades and lounge access. My wife was extremely happy with the staffs who tried to accommodate all her requests. Surely a place we want to come back and stay again in the future.

6/5 ⭐️ treatment as a Bonvoy Ambassador elite member. I stayed during February and it has been a decade since my last visit to Korea , Seoul. It was my first visit to the hotel. Gosh i am amazed by the luxury standard this JW hotel has surpassed all my expectations which i didn't expect at all. I was from Singapore and my country has been locked up itself for 2 years . Finally there was a VTL lane between Sg and Korea and i chose Korea as my first travel destination. I am glad i did my research and this hotel was the right choice. Every facilities is top notch including their bedroom and lounge food standards! I wish to thank personally , Jim, Bonnie and Jenny for their hospitality. They really go out all the way to accommodate to my request. I was even shocked that i was upgraded to their Penthouse suite for a night and with the welcome amenities ! 😵 Lastly thanks to the GM Allen leadership and management that every staff here is very professional and welcoming. Even in Singapore i stay at JW Marriott countless times but this hotel i definitely will revisit back when i back to Seoul , Korea. Thank you once again guys, appreciate for all the impeccable service and memories created just for a night stay! Cheers!🤩

My wife and I spent a night during this past weekend at the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul. We live in Incheon, roughly 1.5 hours away, and were looking for a nice short staycation in Seoul. For years, we have read reviews and heard from others that this JW Marriott is not to be missed. From our own experience, now we can also share that they were right. I had decided to make my booking (via Free Night Award) just a few days before my actual stay. I also had a few Suite Night Awards to burn, so I took a look at what was available for possible upgrade. Unfortunately, there were no suites available at the time, for SNA request. Only "upgraded rooms" were available, so I decided to skip burning an SNA. The night before my check-in, I chatted with hotel staff via the Marriott app whether I could get some help making reservations for 3 people for the 2pm shift of lunch buffet on my check-out day. Within minutes, on the app, it was done. The efficiency of the staff was really quite remarkable. (Note about the lunch: A bit pricey, but especially worth it for notable occasions.) Extremely early on the morning of my check-in, I asked via the app whether a suite upgrade would be possible for me as Titanium member. They said they'd make a note. Then, at check-in, Rachel (warm but otherwise very professional!) told me that there was suite availability and that I could be upgraded at no charge into an Executive Suite, with the caveat that I might not get my 4pm late checkout request granted and that I might need to switch to another room at 12noon. I agreed to it. My wife and I were very pleased with the upgrade to the Executive Suite. 12-foot ceilings throughout the suite and bathroom! On just an FNA...! That's pretty remarkable. (Of course, for platinum/titanium/ambassador, there's the welcome amenity, and we chose a bottle of white wine and a fruit plate.) I think that this treatment from JW Marriott Hotel Seoul of the top tier elites is really remarkable, and it's a good reason why this hotel has so easily managed to retain the kind of reputation among business travelers and staycationers during this pandemic that they have. The hotel is really quite immaculate, overall. Of course, the 1st floor waiting area basically looks like an art museum. (The pictures of that area with the wooden columns and the sculpture-like 'strand of pearls'? I thought maybe that was a photoshop job, haha, but no, that's what it really does look like.) Generally the service also was excellent, from check-in to check-out; very difficult to find anything about service to criticize. (Even though we didn't have time during our stay to see the pool or the fitness facilities, we were pleased that such a nice huge sauna was free for Titanium guests.) I think, if you really push me to figure out how to nitpick a tiny bit about the hotel, it's that the directions "on the ground" are not great. This JW Marriott is physically integrated with the great big Shinsegae department store, and it seems that the department store is somehow a bit too unfriendly towards highlighting or 'advertising' for the hotel. If you are driving in (to park) with your own car, there is signage in the basement parking lot directing you to the best places to park. But once you get onto the elevators, you are basically in the department store, and the lack of signage can easily start leading to confusion. So, here's my Pro Tip: If you parked in basement parking, and you find yourself in the Shinsegae department store, you need to make your way up to the 2nd floor of the store. If you walk around that floor a bit, you'll find the Hermes, and to the left of the Hermes, you'll see the 'Foreign Customer Service Center'. Walk down the hallway next to that Service Center, and you'll pop out in the 1st floor waiting area of the hotel. Take a right, and you'll see a bay of elevators. Go up to the 8th floor and you'll find the reception lobby there. (On check-out day, at 11:30am, my app notified me that I had a 12noon checkout, and when I called down to the reception desk to verify, they told me that I could stay in my suite until 4pm after all!) Before signing off here, I want to mention something that very few other reviewers mention about this hotel, if at all. I believe that a very big reason why this hotel is so luxurious and well-rated is that it is VERY SPACIOUS. At almost all the other luxury hotels in Seoul (and I've stayed at almost all of them), you find yourself physically bumping into or navigating around people, whether that's during reception, during breakfast, in the Executive Lounge, or in the sauna area. Here, at the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul? Nope. In spite of how many people are staying at this hotel on any given evening, the hotel is just very generously spaced out for guests. My wife and I stayed on a Saturday night, likely the most popular night of the week for staycationers. And yet, walking around this hotel (at least, in March!) was effortless. We can only imagine how exclusive it must feel to stay at this hotel during the week! Overall, we were impressed. The next time that we want to treat ourselves to another memorable stay, we'll be back.

Platinum elite or higher:  Free Executive Lounge Access (+1 guest, 06:30 - 21:00) Complimentary pressing, 2 garments per stay Welcome amenity (Wine & snack) or 1000 point per stay.   <Feature> Hardware: Even though there is no good outview and bathtub inside, the Business Suite is very large and convenient Suite Room with spacious living room and big dining table. It is one of my favorite rooms. The entrance of this property is same as that for department store, so when it is regular sale period of the store, there can be traffic. Apart form that, the property is in good location (easy to access both by car and public transportation), spacious, clean and with very good facilities incl. Marquis Fitness Club (B2F) one of the Asian best Fitness Center with indoor basketball, squash, Table Tennis and Swimming pool. Software: Even though it is Lunar New Year Holidays, the private check-in/out process at the Executive Lounge is nice and quick. My Children like Pizza but should find that it is not available for inroom dining. I hope that it can be added. The Executive Lounge here is the Model Answer to all other properties. As per the real JW style as expected, the staff are friendly, helpful and professional and special thanks to Ms. Jimin An for her customized attentive service.
