I have stayed for 8 nights. The staffs are friendly and attentive the moment I step out from my taxi. A female staff also come to help us with the heavy luggage. The staff will attend to you most of the time if you need help. All staffs who I spoke to are able to speak and understand English. Room size is reasonable. The room keeping staff are friendly and they will always greet you with a smile. Location wise is good if you just want to do Mall shopping and Lotte theme park. If you want to go Myeongdong or Namdemun or Dongdaemun area most of the time. Then skip this hotel. You have to take train. Journey vary from 25mins to 40mins.. They have good offer for the Lotte Theme park. Ask them if you need to visit the theme park.
The LOTTE WORLD HOTEL in Seoul, at footer-logo HOTEL LOTTE 240, Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, Korea / +82-2-419-7000 (I provided the address, since there are I think 3 LOTTE HOTELS in Seoul, all 5 star, this is the only one we stayed at, although the LOTTE TOWER HOTEL is right across the Street from where we at, but more expensive, it is the tallest building in Korea, and maybe all of Asia) is amazing, the customer service is unsurpassed, from the moment you leave your vehicle and are greeted by the valets, to check in, house keeping, etc., all employees we met were outstanding, very friendly, helpful, and professional, can not say enough positive things about there hospitality, the rooms, and the view we had was breath taking, make sure to book the "TWIN LAKE VIEW" side of the Hotel, I think the other side although the rooms are just as nice, the view is not. This Hotel is a first class, five star operation, in a perfect location, with a lot of amazing stuff to do, especially for kids as they have an amusement park as part of the Hotel, part of it outside, and another part inside the Hotel itself. Also the 7th. floor of the Hotel is kids themed. Extremely nice place.…
Lotte basically is the king in this area, hotel, theme park, departmental store and mall is all right next to each other. Don't confuse departmental store with the mall there are 2 separate location which you can walk from hotel. Room Interior is excellent, very clean and comfy, all tolietries are also of a high quality. Expensive hotel but worth it, and hotel guest have added benefits of getting theme park tickets at nearly 50% discount.
We started an experience at the hotel that couldn't have been worse!!!! I and my boss is having a business trip to Korea. We arrived at the hotel at 3 pm, and there was no one to greet us in the hotel lobby, NO BELLMAN, even we wait at the hotel gate for a while to find help. We had a hard time carrying three heavy suitcases inside the hotel lobby- where NO WELCOME, NO ONE SAYS HI, just a crowed lobby. Not stopping there, there was no space left to rest in the lobby - and of course, not a single staff member cared that I have to stand up with high heel in the lobby. A female employee asked me to fill in my full name on an iPad full of Korean and did not explain or guide us the purpose or explain how to check in. Until we complained to 2 men who looked like managers in the hotel lobby, we were asked to wait another 10 minutes to check-in- which actually is to line up in check in line. The next bad experience was that after nearly 10 minutes in check-in line; the front desk could not find our booking even though our agent had called the hotel few minutes before and checked in advance to make sure there was a room ready for us. I would like to emphasize again that it is now 3:30 pm. And of course, no one apologize (or even mention) for our late check in. After connecting FO staff to our agent via phone, we got our key. Then, We spent another 5 minutes talking to a staff member who couldn't speak basic English. When I asked, "Is there anyone carrying our suitcases to the room, or will we bring them ourselves?" She just kept saying "Okay, Okay, Okay" until we impatiently asked, "Okay, what?" then she said "Okay" again... Finally (we hope), we got into the room - a room with dirty, stained sheets, torn pillows, and every welcome/instruction paper in the room had yellow spots, wrinkled or placed in the opposite reading direction (as you can see clearly in the pictures I attached). It really felt like checking into a 3-star motel in some underdeveloped suburban province. I chose this hotel because it has good reviews and belongs to a popular Korean brand name and seemed to be always crowded, but the experience I had was really terrible and below common hotel standard. I wonder if this is NORMAL for a 5-star hotel? Or is the hotel crowded so that they don't need guests anymore? I also work in the 5-star hotel industry - in a less developed country than Korea, but our 3* hotel in the city center is better than this. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL- Korea is really amazing from the moment I arrived at the airport with fresh air and friendly people, great food - if I hadn't booked a room here, this trip would be perfect!…
Nice hotel. We stayed over with my family to celebrate my daughter’s birthday at the Lotte world park. It’s super convenient. Staff is very friendly, especially Miss Ann Ko and her colleagues. We have won tickets to the aquarium as well and that has made our stay even more fun. Rooms are nice, clean and kids got excited about kids slippers, robot that greeted them with water and sweets at the reception. It was a neat detail. We have enjoyed our stay.
I have visited seoul twice a year for recruiting, Lotte hotel was my favourite place to stay. The lobby staff Sukwoo Song remembered us every time and give us detailed information as well as welcoming to come back to Lotte hotel. I would like to applause him for his great attitude. Room condition is not the best however location is very good as well as facilities. Hope to see him in next year. Stay safe and take care.
As mentioned by many reviewers, the hotel staffs were amazing. They were friendly and kind. The manager at the buffet especially greeted my children every morning. The sauna was well maintained but the swimming pool wasn't as good as I had expected. The hotel is conveniently located close to Lotte Shopping Mall and the subway. The room... It is small! The furniture was outdated. The carpet was stained. The room seemed to need renovation soon. The bidet at the bathroom was useful. Expect to meet many families with children.
I stayed at the hotel during the Corona virus outbreak. Aside from the great location, beautiful room and view, wonderful breakfast I was treated excellently by all the staff that were there for me with every question I had even provided me with masks for the stay. It is also very easy to reach from the airport.
Hotel is connected to Jamsil station. Clean and updated. Convenient for shopping and activities for kids. There’s adventure world, Charlotte theatre, malls etc, and a 7-11 at the 2nd floor that opens till late. Concierge was very attentive and helpful. When asked for food recommendation, Edward was very detailed and gave very good recommendations and directions. One plus point for the hotel is that there is an airport shuttle to Incheon and gimpo airport. Need to buy tickets in advance. To Incheon is 16000 won for adults and 10000 for child, gimpo is around half the price. Runs very frequently.
Chose this hotel as I was planning to watch the fireworks from this area. Lobby was luxurious and modern looking. Had a lovely view of Seoul Tower. Of which we could see the fireworks (but bit on the small side....) Rooms were comfortable. Beds were firm but with a bounce. For me I like them hard / firm. But still good. Nice and warm especially in Dec where the temperature was around -5 at one point. Housekeeping fantastic! The only thing that would give it a 5 star would be to upgrade the rooms. They were looking bit dated. Nonetheless u kind of grow into it after a night. We stayed for 4 nights and it felt cosy. Great facilities around. with Malls and Metro. Best to head to the new Mall across the road. You can take the subway or cross at the road. This Mall has more facilities. Lots more F&B with a cinema, concert hall and aquarium. The Mall directly linked to the Hotel is smaller and the F&B closed at around 8.30 / 9.00pm...which was a shock to us. But the other newer Mall opens till at least 10pm. Overall great team and service!…
