We planned to travel to Korea and Japan in March 2020 but COVID happened. Our flights were cancelled so we inquired about cancel and refund on the hotel booking due to COVID but they didn't give a s**t. They didn't offer to re-book or partial refund or anything. They straight up took my money without offering any kind of solution. COVID cases started to explode in Korea in late Feb 2020 and my Korean friends all advised me not to go at the time. My flights were cancelled and hotel in Japan was cancelled and refunded. Only this hotel refused to do anything for customer safety.
Stayed for 3 nights Great location Very close to a subway station, and also to Insadong which has many traditional gift shops, galleries, restaurants, etc Very close to all the Seoul palaces Close to Eulji-ro and Chung gye chun where things are happening Close to Myungdong (although I don’t really care for this area now) And for whatever reason, this hotel is always at a great value compared to similar hotels nearby. I go to Korea at least once a year to visit my in-laws and I usually stay at Centermark
First of all, there was confusion over the booking. When I booked the hotel from the US, I think my computer changed the date because of the time difference. While I was very careful about booking the correct date, once I booked it and got my confirmation, I did not carefully check the confirmation to see the dates were correct. (This has happened to me on the opposite end, too.) Anyway, the result was that I did not check in by the date of my first night on the reservation and the rest of my booking was cancelled, and I had the pay for the night I "missed".. But thankfully, when I did arrive, they were able to get things worked out and I was able to pay the hotel directly for the time we originally wanted at the hotel. But they were very nice and helpful in the process, and in the days that followed. Our triple room was a little crammed (with we'd gotten the Triple Deluxe instead of the Standard Triple), but the bathroom was huge and gorgeous, and all in all, the room was fine. We also got the breakfast a couple of the mornings, since they had a buy one, get one free deal, and it was a very nice breakfast buffet. It was a great way to get the day started.…
Perfect hotel to explore different districts of Seoul. The breakfast buffet features traditional Korean and continental items. Staff was very courteous and hospitable. Hotel smells "fresh" always. The free shuttle to other parts of the city was very convenient. Otherwise, the front desk was very helpful in arranging for rides or directions.
Good Place to stay! Very near to restaurants and 15 to 20 mins walk to Myeondong. Its just across SM Duty Free and Running Man (also a good place to visit if u r with kids). tried the breakfast buffet once, the essentials are there (bacon, eggs, bread and etc)
