The photo of the place looks lot nicer than the actual place. When we arrived, the room did not have any internet access so we had to wait for a service man to come up to install. On the third day I switched a room from 2 double bed to single bed room. Again I had problems with the internet,... More

Nice and cheap hotel, hotel breakfast was alright, not a lot of options though, really nicely located as well, just a 5 minute walk away from a road full of amazing Korean restaurants as well as KFC and pizza hut. Opposite the hotel is a lot of other Korean restaurants and a convenient store, there's also an underground supermarket around... More

I needed a place in the Gangnam area to stay for one night. This place seemed like a pretty good deal considering that hotels in this area can go for $200 a night. The Sunshine hotel gave me a room for $125 and this was a deal. The room is average size, which means that it's pretty small compared to... More

You don't get very friendly and zealous staff like in 5-star hotels, but everything else is above expectations. Room is vert clean, comfortable, plus warmed toilet seats and free wifi. If u can take the 800m walk to Apgujeong train station, then this location is ideal for u

No frills, basic hotel that's clean. The walls are very thin so you can hear practically anything that's going on the room beside. My neighbors had a habit of blasting the tv so it was REALLLY hard to sleep on some nights. Receptionist speak very basic English.

If you are in Seoul, this hotel is a bit hard to find without a private transport. It is not imposing, very modest but it gives you all you need and if you are not too fussy about amenities. The breakfast selection is intercontinental and was the same every single morning the five days I was there. Not a bad... More

I have stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in December 2014. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Hotel's staff is courteous and helpful. Centrally located controls for the lighting, alarm, temperature given inside the room and anybody can choose Korean or English Language according to requirement. Toilets are small with bathtub and smart controlled commode. 2 bottles... More

Most uncomfortable stay for years I had was in this hotel. Location is bad, it is good only when taking a day tour to DMZ North Korea border as highway access is near from this hotel. All sights are far away, area where hotel is situated offers only steep priced restaurants and bars; e.g. 25USD for Italian pizza, what? Receptionist... More

Staying in Apgujeong / Cheongdam

Neighbourhood Profile
Apgujeong / Cheongdam
Aside from Sinsa / Garosugil, no other area in Seoul connotes the words “luxury” and “fancy” like Apgujeong and Cheongdam. Global luxury brands have set up their flagship stores here, catering to the neighbourhood's mostly affluent residents. It’s also one of the top areas in Korea (some say the world) for cosmetic surgery, attracting hundreds of thousands each year for a little nip or tuck. The other parts of Apgujeong and Cheongdam are mostly lavish residential buildings for some of Seoul’s most affluent alongside extravagant restaurants, bars, spas, and other spots for indulgence. And Cheongdam has long been a bastion for flashy clubs and parties, though in recent years, Itaewon has emerged as a strong challenger to those claims.
