The stay was a simple stay room looked nice, the price was reasonable, check out was pretty fast, and front desk ladies were nice. I would rate the place more than 5/10 if the room was clean enough and didn’t smell like molded food mixed with herbs and spices, it was weird smell indeed. The hotel didn’t allow me to check in before 3pm event though the hotels were ready but I had to wait from noon till 3 in the lobby. The room I was given had some stains. My stay wasn’t comfortable anyway. Attached pics.
Great Experience! I felt safe and comfortable while staying at Staz Hotel Myeongdong II. It was clean and the service was good. In addition, it was close to the Myeongdong street. Therefore, I was very satisfied with it.
This hotel is good for a* simple* stay. If you want to shop in Myeongdong, the location is 5 minutes walk and 10 minutes from Hoehyun! I would like to commend the front desk staff helpful due to for their lack of English but they were still with great affort to resolve my room problem
no gripes about the location, almost equidistant to 2 very central subway stations. however the our duplex family room for 3 was rather tiny. pretty much no space to maneuver once our 3 luggages are opened. the staffs' attitude are inconsistent too, some even taciturn, not sure if its a language problem or the cold. shuttle bus driver stands out comparatively, helpful and patient enough.
The hotel is OK for a budget hotel. Bed is clean enough. The rooms are small, stark and tired. The carpet is stained. But the worst part foe me is the bathroom. We stayed there doe a week and no matter how I tried, there is water all over the floor every time I showered. They have this huge bath tub with a huge lip that diverts water to run down the the side and down the tub. With water running down the tub everyday I worry about the mould and mildew that must be behind the walls. In hindsight we should have paid more to bet a better placed.
My parents room was given a floor bed making it difficult for them to get up, with the assistance of staff, they were moved to a new room with a normal bed height. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good as well. Static electricity are strong on doors and lift.
We had a giant pillar right in the middle of the room and room was smaller than the bathroom at home. Extremely wide angle pics show rooms as big. Room is meant for 1 person but showed against 2 person search. Upon inquiry hotel said 03 number rooms are all this small, but for $75 a night it was bonkers. Highly recommended. Better to stay in a 3-4 star hotel outside myeong dong and take subway or taxi.
The hotel is around 15 mins walk to Meongdong main market. Not too bad. A lot of restaurants close to the hotel. The only drawback is the hotel room is a bit small, particularly the bathroom. Other than this, the hotel is good when you consider the price.
I stayed the hotel with my mother for 3days. The room was really clean , and concierges were kind and location is good too(close to myeongdog) But I couldn’t use safety box . If I have a chance to visit Korea, I would like to stay this hotel again. Thank you
3.5 stars This hotel is in a good location between Myeongdong and Chungmuro stations. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it’s a great value for the price. There’s a small fridge in your room and a shuttle to Seoul Station. There’s also an E-Mart nearby. However just like some reviews I read said, the room was not super clean and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell, damp mildew smell. The sheets also had tears in it. The staff was really friendly and the room was a good size considering how most hotels like this are. If you are on a budget, this is a great hotel for location and value.
