SOLARIA NISHITETSU HOTEL MYEONGDONG belongs to the Nishitetsu Hotel Group, headquartered in Fukuoka, Japan and is the first overseas branch of the group. It is located right in the middle of Myeong Dong shopping district, one of the most famous neighborhoods in Seoul, where you can have easy access to shops, restaurants, coffee shops, department stores and more. Our rooms are modern and designed following the Japanese standard with toilet (equipped with automatic bidet) and bath tub in separate rooms (except single rooms and casual double rooms). We also have designated ladies-only floors for female travelers, ensuring a safe and secure stay especially for those travelling solo. The hotel is located in a pedestrian-only zone, cars are not allowed within the area from 10AM to 11PM. The closest drop off zone is at exit 8 of Myeongdong station, 3 blocks away from the hotel. For guests arriving before or after these hours, please ask your driver to drop you off in front of the hotel.

Hotel is located 5 mins from Exit 7/8 of Myeongdong station or where the airport bus stops. Foot locker is just next door while all mask story is just opposite to shop your masks and skincare, Emart24 & Isaac Toast is just round the corner Room might be slightly small for some but i feel its decent for two pax we had 2 large 1 med 1 cabin sized luggages. We just shifted the furniture so we can open our 2 large luggages. Room doesnt come with international adapter/plug so remember to bring one. The room also came with a humidifier (do fill water into the tank) but ours is quite noisy dont know what happened to the machine, we just on it for a short period and off it. Every level comes with a filtered water dispenser (hot/iced water & ice cubes) just near the lift while microwave and washing machine is located at level 6 (didnt used them so no comment on whether isit good) Basic amenities (razor, toothbrush) are not available and you had to purchase from their vending machine as part of their green stay program (not an issue for us cause we brought our own). We check in around 2.30pm even though we reached the hotel around 10am, even we wanna pay extra to do an early check in, its not possible as they were full. Housekeeping was great, the place was clean and spotless with 2 bottles of water provided. Since we stayed during March, heater mode is still on so there is no way we could turn the temperature down when it is hot, window could be opened to cool the room down I wouldnt hesitate to stay again given the price point and quality of my stay…

I had booked a room for 5 nights with my wife and was delighted with how clean the hotel and the room was. The location was easy to find and convenient with a short walk to the subway station. The staff at the check-in counters were also friendly and explained all the hotel policies to us. The only down point of our room was that it was rather hard to walk once we had put each of our luggage down. The toilet was also pretty small, and would be hard to navigate for a bigger size person. The toilet and bathroom was amazing and equipped with all TOTO facilities. Being a TOTO fan myself, I definitely appreciate the high quality hardware that the hotel has furbished. A separate toilet and bathroom also makes it easier in case one needs to use the toilet and another needs to bathe. Overall, I would consider staying in this hotel again if I'm in Seoul. Though, it would be good if they eventually have a fitness center/swimming pool.…

I came to Seoul for my birthday together with my 5yo. This is our first time in Seoul, and also her first time travelling in winter. I chose this hotel because we had a great experience at Solaria Bangkok. However this hotel is a let-down. From location to room-size to the STAFF. While the staff at Solaria Asok were welcoming and kind, the staff at Solaria Myeongdong were rude and unkind. My girl was exhausted from yesterday’s long walks and movie which ended late (there was only ONE screening of 4dx Ant-Man at 8:30pm, which ended close to 11pm). By the time we got back to the hotel and washed up, it was past midnight. Today we both got up late, especially her, couldn’t get her out of bed. But barely 10mins after she’s up and we got calls from reception urging us to check-out. At 12:15pm, I was told to check out by 12:30pm or pay extra. I told them my situation and said I’m doing my best to get ready and leave. At 12:30pm, I got another call and I had to beg for an extra 10mins (to finish packing). The lady who called said ok, if I’m not checked out by 12:40pm, I have to pay 22,000krw per hour. It was a very stressful stay, is all I can stay. (And hopefully, I didn’t leave anything behind in my rush to get out of the room.) Having worked in hotels myself, and coming from a hospitality background, this is truly disappointing. Go elsewhere if you have young kids and/or big heavy luggage (quite far from the metro and some parts are stairs-only… we were lucky strangers helped us with the luggage)…

I recomended this hotel. Best View, Best room hotel. All staff very polite and helpfull. Breakfast always yummy. Best Place, near from transportation (train dan bus), near to Myeongdong Market (street food and shooping). When u out of lobby hotel, u can find shooping mall, street food ext. Cleaness and Comfortable hotel.

This hotel is perfect for someone visiting Seoul for the first time! The location is within walking distance to many stores, restaurants, cafes, and to public transportation stops. The staff is professional, friendly, and attentive. The room was clean and the shower was wonderful. The view from the room was spectacular and I loved waking up by watching the sunrise each morning. I had a very comfortable stay at Solaria and would love to stay here again when returning to Seoul.

Great services from front desk and cleaning ladies, very comfortable room and great bathroom with separate toilet, comfy beds with great supportive pillows. Will definitely come by when visiting Seoul next time. And location is right in the middle of the MyeongDong street market very convenient and the rooms are in the high floors with sound proof windows really quiet
