The service is excellent and the value is very good because you are staying in a fully functioning apartment. The reason that the review is not stronger is because of the feel of the room. It is dark and damp, so it actually impacted my mood while I was there. There was a moldy smell in the bathroom that was the result of visible mold on the tiles. The tub has a drainage issue such that every way that I tried to angle the showerhead or adjust the curtain it was no use. Water flooded all over the floor and I had to dry it up with 2 bath towels. This is very likely related to the mold and general dampness, but the room actually felt like it was in a basement. I was here for a week and it had a negative impact on how I felt day to day, despite the excellent location and great service.

So first I’d like to start off by saying that all the staff members here were absolutely amazing, very nice, patient, respectful etc.!! The room was decently sized clean and offered a sink to do dishes that they offer! Hotel amenities were fine gym, laundry, etc.! NO CAP Every time I left or entered the hotel the staff(front desk) would greet you on your way in or out; They showed tons of hospitality that made me feel like I was at home felt very warming!!

Stayed 7 days & 6 nights. Though this hotel do not offer breakfast, it supplied all our needs. We stayed @ the Premium Triple Rm and it got all the necessity we need for longer stay. We were able to do light cooking, do our laundry and stay comfortably. Hotel staffs were accommodating. It’s near Chungmuro station & convenient stores. Got a small food stall near the hotel that offers best bulgogi meal. Will surely come back.

Just returned from an 8 night stay. We found it to be perfect for our needs. Subway station close by. We walked to many places from the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Breakfast is available though we did not have this.
Gym is ok.
Great little bar close by called Boombox.

I actually booked the room under agoda.com and has fully paid for 9 nights. ..the reception charged me for my youngest son who is 4 years old 44000 kwon per night because he said the room is only for 2 adults..this is unfair for me...imagine how much I paid extra for 9 nights! Altogether 297000 kwon on top of what I have paid using agoda.com!!!!

I stayed at Oriens from September 15th through the 21st. I was persuaded by the great reviews and its proximity to Myeongdong. Just be aware! I got a great deal on Expedia, frequent travellors know the deal! Purchase now, pay in full,no cancellation, blah blah. When I saw this crazy price, I went to ALL, ALL REVIEWS I could find. Everyone had pretty good - standard - things to say. The room I paid for, which was listed as a deluxe room I believe - all rooms are available to see online(or so I thought). The room I stayed in did not look like anything posted on their website or in reviews. But, I was like - okay, I paid next to nothing, its safe - so I am fine. Housekeeping was non-exisistant. I ordered take out one night and pickled radish is served with fried chicken, when I opened the box, it spilled all over my bed. It was late, I couldn't do any thing about it then. Next day, housekeeping did not clean. Which was not a surprise during my trip. That afternoon(next day) my room reeked - I went to the front desk asked when someone would clean my room. I also brought it to their attention the state of the room. The fridge smelled liked something had died(I love kimchee and eat it on the regular - it was not that), bathroom sink was stopped up so I had to use the sink in the living area, bath tub was dirty when I came, etc. My issue is - it is NOT a deal/sale/anything special if you give the guest a subpar room and horrible service. They sent someone to my room who gave me towels and left. When I complained, the concierge did not understand a word I said. Up until this point there were no language barriers. He simply seemed to disbelieve nothing had been done, mind you I have offered to the front desk - please look at my room - nothing was done. I stayed on the lobby floor, literally a couple of meters from the front desk, so they saw me leave and come in and come right back to the desk to tell them what happened so they knew I was telling the truth. I had a terrible room, terrible service and air conditioning that worked when it wanted to. Please bear in mind, my room was a disaster, I was always at the front desk, but there was nothing they could do besides give me another room.(which they would NOT do) And based on my treatment, it was clear, these sub par rooms were rented out to make money. They do not do repairs or give any type of service to people staying there. Telephone had no info on it regarding front desk - etc, typical info you would find at any other hotel. If you stay here DO NOT get any type of deal, because it won't be. You'll have a roof over your head and absolutely nothing else. The pictures I see online are a joke, I did not experience, or see anything of the kind. I had a place to rest my head but this experience was a complete downer for my trip, although,I am grateful I met wonderful people while in Korea. FYI, this place is REALLY hard to find, if you take the airport limo bus(best idea $15 USD) get off at T Mark hotel stop, walk towards the NH bank(towards your left after departing the bus), at the crosswalk cross over to the other side of the street, turn right, you should pass a paris baguette, keep walking you will pass a gs convienence store, then a police station, if you look up a few meters later you will see a street sign pointing you in the direction of the hotel(to your left) follow the street until you see the wooden bridge that will bring you to the hotel. Don't follow others advice about the side entrance upon arrival - the side entrance is not accessible if you do not have your room key.

Location: First of all, if you are expecting Myeongdong shopping street to be right outside the hotel door, do not book this hotel. Please please do not believe the other reviews that it is near and walkable. Keep in mind that 5-10mins walk in Seoul is a lot of mileage already. Sure you can walk to Myeongdong Shopping Street but you'll be too exhausted to walk back.
Having said that, it is near Chungmuro Station Exit 4 (Line 3) which is only one stop from Myeongdong (Line 4). If I'm not mistaken you could also take the bus but I wasn't able to try this option.

Airport Bus: The airport bus stops near Chungmuro station (6001 me thinks). To go from here to Incheon Airport you can ride the 6001 or the 6015 across the street.

Hotel Room/Amenities: The room itself is more than you could ask for given the rates from Agoda. It might be best enjoyed for those who would stay longer than 3 days. The deluxe double that we stayed in has a kitchen with a full sized refrigerator and double stove. Microwave was not provided but you could ask the receptionist to heat your food for you.

Plates, glasses and mugs were provided but there were no forks, spoons or chopsticks.

Restaurant/Stores: There is a GS25 & CU nearby. As well as a bakery across the street, Ediya Coffee & Paris Baguette are close as well. There is a Mr. Pizza & Popeyes nearby. There are Korean restaurants along the alley leading to the hotel.

TV: There are English Channels available (around 2-3).

PROTIP: In the alley after the police station, if you go left there and go straight you will see the Oriens Parking Lot. You can use the elevator to go up. Don't make the mistake of carrying your heavy luggage up the inclined road (towards Namsan Parking). Trust me, it wasn't pretty pulling two heavy bags up that road. -_-

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apt. It was spacious and the interior was cozy. We were lucky to have an amazing view of Namsan Tower. Check-in was seamless and the front desk reception were all kind, friendly and speaks English.
Whenever we return to our hotel after the whole day out, we were welcomed back sincerely. We were having problem initially on how to turn on the TV as everything was written in hangul. They offered to follow us back to our room and showed us how to turn it on.
The dining area was very comfortable and spacious enough to have our own bought meals in our apt. The living area had spacious space for party of 3 to relax after a whole day out before retreating to our comfortable beds. The bathroom was adequate but could do with some uplifting. But it serves its purpose so not much to complain there.
Getting there, Take Exit 4 from Chungmuro and walk straight. You will pass Paris Baguette & an Italian Restaurant on your left. Walk all the way straight until you see Hana bank. Do not cross the street. Turn left and walk up the path until u see a wooden ramp. Walk on the ramp and straight ahead you will see the Hotel. It's a good 10 mins walk but I have no complains as the foliage were beautiful. Have in hand the Hotel Address in Korean and show it to the Taxi Driver. We had no problem with the Taxi Driver finding the hotel.
Myeondong Street Market was 10 mins walk away. Again, no complains with the beautiful foliage along the way. Namsangol Traditional Garden was also 10 mins away. It's a beautiful garden worth taking a stroll.
There were some construction going on at the moment. But with a closed window, it did a good job muffling the noise. We were on holiday, so we were out and about by 10am. So, it did not affect our comfortable stay.
Amenities were all working very well. Air-con, washing machine, TV & iron. Wifi reception were good as well.
All in all we had a very good comfortable stay and will return here should we visit Korea again.

Stayed 2 nights at Deluxe Suite with 2 Bedrooms, one with Queen size bed & other with 2 Single beds. Although bedrooms, living/dining spaces & kitchen are all adequately sized, there is only one small bathroom for all to share.
The apartment is fully furnished, & there is a washing machine/dryer, drying rack, ironing board etc. for doing your laundry. Detergent can be bought from vending machine at 24 hrs Laundry Room at 3rd Floor. There is also a 24 hrs Gymnasium at 3rd floor. Staff at Reception are friendly & speaks good English.
Do note that Oriens Hotel & Residences is not on the main road & may be difficult to find initially, if you are taking subway there. It is situated within walking distance of Chungmuro & Myeong-dong subway stations, a bit nearer from Chungmuro. From Exit 4 of Chungmuro station, walk along path (facing oncoming traffic), past by Paris Baguette Cafe until you reach GS25 convenient store/Chungmu Police Station. Turn left & walk through narrow path till you see Oriens Hotel Level 1 entrance on the left (see attached photo). Go through door & into the new restaurant (opening in Dec 2018). Take either the lift on left or straight ahead to go hotel lobby at Level 4. As Oriens is located on a uphill, do not take the road at left of Paris Baguette Café, as it will lead to Oriens Level 4 Lobby directly after a long & steep walk (very tiring, especially with luggages).

Any airport limousine bus stop near the hotel?
Answer from Lovellynn
Singapore19 contributions11 helpful votes
Hi Maryam, it depends on how early is your early morning. If you are saying about between 6-8am to reach airport, I would suggest you check with the hotel reception to get you a van/hired car to get your family to the airport instead. Otherwise, there is an alternative option of taking Airport Bus as early as 4.30am at Myeongdong station. But I do not know which exit does the bus stopped for pick up. I hope the following website help triple w (dot) airport (dot) kr Go to "To & From" look for "Public Transport" Go to the Bus columm & click Search Buses You will see a list of buses from all station. Look for bus number 6015 to be taken at Myeongdong station to Incheon which takes about 90-100mins depends on the road condition.
