We booked this hotel because of its excellent location. 1 minute walk at the front you have Sinnonhyeon Station, exit from the back & there are lots of restaurants. Having booked, I became quite nervous after reading so many bad reviews, but we decided to stick with it. So glad we did! I don't understand what the complaints are all about. We were checked in promptly & the staff were pleasent. The room was a good size & clean, comfortable bed, decent A/C & shower. What more do you need? The room was serviced on request & a lite breakfast was included in the rate. It was perfect for us as we were near everything we needed. Forget the other reviews, there's nothing wrong with this hotel & the location is hard to beat
Good location I stay this hotel 3 time already but still bad everything. All hotel service bad staff bad hotel reception staff speak very bad when check in and this hotel check in time very late normally 2pm but this hotel 3pm if you need to check in now you have to pay 30,000 WON for charge for 1 hr early check in :(
This hotel is just few steps away from the subway station making it an ideal choice for me since I travelled with a luggage on a rainy day. Hotel’s appearance is classy and there are big coffee shops around. The only concern I had was with their spa area as they didn’t allow me in. When I asked for the reason, I was told that the spa and massage service is only for “namjadul” or men. Inside the room, I love the bed the most. Next is the big size bath tub. Dining wise, I enjoyed the buffet which are mostly Korean foods.
I have been to Seoul more than 10 times, and I have never been this disappointed with the quality of service at this hotel. This is the first time I have been so disappointed, that I decided to write my experience. My disappointment and bad experience with this hotel can be summarized as follows: 1. The lobby staff were very rude and could not speak fluent English or Chinese or Japanese. They looked as though they are really shocked if you ask them any questions. 2. Every time I asked for help their default response is they are unable to assist or they don't know. 3. Other staff members were talking behind our backs while we were speaking to a staff member (one of my travel companion can understand basic Korean). 4. We asked for an extra towel as the bathroom was leaking and it never arrived. 5. The sheets were not really clean, and due to this, one of my travel companion had allergy from the first day. The room designs were nice on the homepage, but I only felt that it was well-designed in the lobby. Great location but unfortunately they weren't so polite to the taxi drivers when telling them the directions. I will not stay with this hotel or any series of this hotel due to the quality of their services, mind you that this is the premier series, and will not recommend this hotel to anyone who is in Seoul for the first time or cannot speak Korean.…
LYJ suite is big, location is great but you have to beg the cleaner to make the room everyday. Very rude cleaner who will 'scold' you and give you an attitude when you ask them to clean the room. Extremely disappointed when you come back to the room late at night only to realise your room is not clean.
This hotel is 3 star level hotel with cheaper price. No luxury but provide basic hotel service. The good part is location (near subway station and many restaurants, etc) and cheap price level (compare to other hotels in the area) Sadly there are many bads. - The rooms are very noisy. I am very sensitive to noise especially when I sleep. When I check-in, I always ask for a quite room. However, they gave me a room right beneath a lounge which played a loud, club like music with heavy base sound. I could hear/feel the music loudly in my room. After 3 calls to front desk, it changed my room. I didn't hear the lounge music, but could hear other noises, including toilet flush noises from other rooms. - I couldn't control room temperature and the pillows were uncomfortable.
My daughter and I stayed at Hotel The Designers LYJ Gangnam Premier for 3 nights, in late November, as part of our Economy EXO Concert Global Package. So,we really had no choice. There is nothing Premier about this hotel and whoever The Designers are FAILED! Upon arrival, the young woman behind the front desk seemed Irritated, apathetic, and unknowlegable. This hotel's room was bare bones, no frills...cheap mattresses, lousy AC, strange see thru windows in to the bathroom and no tub shower curtain. We had to open the window to cool the room. Requests for clean towels, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. took forever to be delivered and required a repeat request/reminder. The Hotel must operate on minimal staff. Location is convenient to the Metro but on windy and rainy days, not close enough. A Plastic Surgery Clinic is located two doors down. We noticed several bandaged patients loitering in the small lobby and surmised that the hotel serves as a hospital after their procedures.. Upon check oiut, we left our luggage at the hotel and went to have lunch and shop. We were booked at the Coex Intercontinental Hotel for our remaining two days in Seoul (Premium EXO Concert Global Package)and planned to cab it there. When we returned to The Designers to retrieve our luggage, we asked the man at the Front Desk if he could call a taxi for us. He rudely said that they don't provide that service. He told us to walk across the Blvd, (in the pouring rain, thunder and lightning) to summon our own taxi!! Given the torrential weather, it just made more sense to take the Metro and that worked out in our favor. What a welcomed relief it was to be properly greeted and treated so graciously at the Coex Intercontinental!! Talk about night and day!! You could not pay me enough to stay at Hotel The Designers in Gangnam, again!! I rate it a ZERO, just based on the lack of customer service!! 👎👎👎👎👎…
Location: Good, the area has a lot of convenience stores, restaurants, and shopping malls. Services: normal. Rooms: the only problem is sound-proof is poor. Tips for men: don't forget to pay a visit and have a drink on 13/F at night. P.S. you may see so many "Surgery guests" because the plastic surgery hospital is next to the hotel.
This should be a 4 star hotel for its good room, comfortable bathroom, great location and good English speaking staff (this is impressive to me as I couldn't find this any where else through my visit to Korea). Definitely the hotel of choice whenever I comeback Seoul.
I stayed in this hotel for a couple times now. This hotel located in Gangnam Area. 5-10 minutes from Shinnonhyeon Station. Get out from the back door in lobby and you'll see Korean-style night life. There's a lot of bar & cafe, restaurant, grocery store, etc. The Hooters is beside the hotel which is something you rarely see in Asian country if you know what I mean. As for the room, you could imagine from their name, every room in this hotel has their own interior design which is interesting. The amenities is OK, room is modern and minimalist style. You have ONE master remote to control AC, lights, TV. Breakfast is average, their combining Korean-Western style. Some people would say their breakfast is bad but since I didn't eat too much when breakfast, I'm OK with it. Overall, I'm satisfied and I'm sure will be back to this hotel and also recommend this hotel.…
