CHEATED! I booked a deluxe twin private ensuite room for one night. (LUGGAGE ROOM) We came a little bit early and asked the receptionist if we can put our luggages there, and he allowed us to put them inside a room. (They claimed to have a free luggage room in their site). Later that day, when we checked in, the...

Booked online a room with a private toilet and paid the supposedly deposit, but when we wanted to check in, he claimed that the room isn't available!! He pretended to compensate by offering another room without a toilet (so we have to use the disgustingly dirty toilet outside), but charged us for the same price as the room with the...

A very traditional hotel located in the heart of Cairo. The owners make you feel at home which is the best part, constantly offering tea and coffee and it's very comfortable. The beds are very decent sizes and the rooms are comfy.

We stayed here in Cairo for 3 nights. When we arrived, we were treated warmly, asked about our plans for the week, and offered a packaged weekly tour which would include our day trip to Alexandria and weekend trip to Luxor. Because we already had plans for Luxor, we declined the package tour. Well- everything changed after this, and the...

The hostel is located in the middle of downtown Cairo. A fast-paste, working-class area where you will get the real taste of Cairo. With an abundance of coffee shops and restaurants nearby, you are always walking distance from the liveliness of the city. The actual facilities were adequate and the staff are nice enough. The receptionist helped me book an...

Spent four nights there in February, 2014. The curb appeal should tell us it is a different kind of experience. in a ghetto-like neighborhood with an entrance to match. Cigarette butts, empty beverage containers, dirt swept into a hallway corner, dark, dreary entrance all gave me pause. I was with a small church group so felt obligated to stay. Otherwise...

My daughter and I stayed at the Bedouin Hostel in June 2013. The hostel was not very clean and our room smelled terribly from the toilet. The owner Karim did try to clean it but this did not help. At the beginning the he was very gracious, he even help me when I was sick. For this I was very...

I will say that this hostel is very basic, which for me was perfect. The staff however, are wonderful. They offer tours, airport pickup and are very welcoming and accommodating. They also have 24 hour reception services, and upon my arrival was greeted by delicious food and a friendly face who offered tea and hooka (very Egyptian indeed).

Hey, guys, earlier I wrote a review for a "Cairo Stars". I decided to write another review for their sister hotel/hostel, called "Bedouin". They are located within 5 min by walk from each other. I stayed with them for a couple of nights, simply due to the reason of "Cairo Stars" being booked thoroughly. Tell you the truth I weren't...

I stayed in this hostel with two of my friends for 5 nights, and it was an AWFUL experience. Literally the second we walked in, the owner sat us down and tried to sell us multiple tours of Cairo, the Pyramids, etc. We foolishly bought a Giza pyramids tour, after the owner of the hostel insisted that it is impossible...

“There are no rooms in this hostel that are clean. Some of the rooms are so small it is impossible to stay there comfortably. The rooms smell from sewage, the beds are old and extremely uncomfortable and the staff are not honest. My tip .... do not stay there.”
