The hotel is good for a short stay if you mainly prefer to see the other atractions of Cairo. The rooms are clean and teh staff is smiling, but too much guests for the small reception. The food is good.

By far one of the worst hotels I've been to in my life. There is a problem with the rooms and service staff. We had to change rooms twice, the first room was dirty, a peice of the sink fell off in the middle of the night scaring us, and some furniture was missing.

The second room was a nightmare, the bathroom stunk of sewer and rotten egg and the AC leaked like a waterfall. We complained about the AC the night it started leaking, then again the next morning, then again during the afternoon. In the afternoon, housekeeping came and put a bucket under the AC to fix the problem. After complaining for the 4th time, the maintenance guy came and hit the AC with a broom as it was his way of repairing it. Of course this strategy did not work and the AC started leaking again at 11PM. We called the reception and maintenance and they only showed up to our room at 11:35 PM after 4 phone calls. The maintenance guy requested the reception to change our room as fixing the AC would take a lot of time, they refused. The maintenance workers started using machinery to fix the AC as we were in the room.
Finally they changed our rooms to a better one at almost 1AM because I was crying hysterically in the reception from exhaustion because I had a morning flight the next day.

Oh and they left a full trash bag (that was not ours) in front of the room for an entire night.

Please save yourselves the trouble a book another hotel.

Very old, dirty and smelly hotel in questionable location. Very busy traffic outside, lots of garbage, people loitering, unsafe to walk around. The hallway going to our room was full of cigarette smoke, it was disgusting! There was ash next to our bed. The shower was broken with most of the water coming from the shower spraying onto the wall. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

They have party in the hotel almost everyday. You will not sleep before 23:00 o clock. The sound is so high that seems the party is in your room. No body told me about that. Such a disrespectful with the clients. And the party is from people outside the hotel!

I stayed in this awful hotel for 5 nights and i had to stay cause i need to stay in this area

But really a very bad experience

Bad food
Bad staff especially Mr. Akram in the reception
Very bad flow of information between the staff
You have to say the information to all the staff to be done

I would really recommend not to even try one night in this hotel

I hoped more to visit Egypt . I was so lucky when my company choosed Egypt for our conference . I stayed at Swiss Inn Cairo Hotel at El Mohandseen ,That's in the center of the city , there are more shops , more market , cafes , banks, everything . I liked my room with good view , relax bathroom ,Free WiFi at every place and good price for all service and accommodation . I like a popular food at the breakfast . I am a woman alone and i felt safe and like at home ,specially at the night as there is a church near the hotel , more policemen and at the hotel in reception the wolfman ,he never sleeps and he is kindly , friendly and honest .He is Akram . I can remember when i was sick at my room ,he sent more fruits to me with bellboy . about the team work , They are very friendly and nice and always smiling which is very important the made me feel happy .Thank you for your welcome . Thank you wolfman (Akram) and more thanks for your manager . I hope to visit this hotel again . Nice to meet you all .

First hotel to stay at in Cairo after the long flight from Brisbane. Room was on the 13th floor with a view overlooking an office block - lift a bit scarey as no door & did not check out the emergency stairs as other stair case is blocked. Location ok & small supermaket within walking distance to get bottled water.Beds comfortable & the a/c worked, not a lot of water pressure or hot water, fixed the toilet as not flushing - breakfast was ok & staff always helpful.

I am so surprised that people say that this is a great hotel and staff are friendly and helpful etc.

We found the total opposite. This hotel looks nice once you walk in the foyer and that is where it stops. We had a 'cheaper' room which wasn't renovated like some of the others we saw (they were quite nice). Our room was ok, rather old and had a mouldy smell but ok. Airconditioner was loud. My friend's room stunk of urine and moved.

A few things we hated about this hotel are:

We only made a few simple requests from the reception staff and they were absolutely hopeless and very very slow and waited days before they would do anything. I must stress we had to repeatedly ask them the same thing over and over again and I mean they were very SIMPLE requests. This was very frustrating.

The breakfast well that was quite disgusting really. The WORST breakfast I have ever had in my 9 months of travelling the world. OK, where do I start, you had a buffet style breakfast which had cold sausages, cold pancakes, cold eggs, cold mash potato, then breads, cheeses, cakes that were just ok. Seriously this breakfast was so bad. Also the staff were very slack in restocking the breakfast and most of the time you never got anything a bit decent. Very rarely were things restocked so you just had to have what crap was left. I couldn't believe it. We tried going down for breakfast earlier in the morning and that didn't improve things. You were lucky to get juice only if they would put it on the table. You had to ask for tea or coffee.

The location of this hotel isn't great and please whatever you DO NOT pay a lot for taxis in Cairo. Unfortunately in Egypt they seriously rip you off and are rude and extremely pushy. Don't feel bad about haggling, haggle hard! They will rip you blind.

So NO I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. This hotel has a lot of improving to do before it would even be considered a star rating.
