You choose Pearl based on location needs in Maadi since there're very few choices in this quite beautiful neighborhood. The Hotel is OK for what you pay. My experience though has been very unfortunate and this individual stay receives only 1 point of 5, but I am sure/hope I was only unlucky. If there's no running water in the neighbourhood,...

Place was recommended to me by a family member. It's in a quiet area in southern Maadi. but metro is close (100m) and on the other side of the tracks you a a lot of restaurants. Staff was friendly and VERY helpful. i don't speak Arabic , so they made a lot of phone calls for me . Breakfast on...

This is a three star hotel, and it's pretty accurate. The room we had was relatively spacious, although a couple of colleagues found others pretty cramped. Everything was clean enough, and toiletries were provided although you had to ask for a hairdryer. We only had breakfast there one day - it was fairly typical Egyptian fare but nothing special -...

I just left the Pearl this morning and will definitely go back for my last few nights in Cairo. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, though the amenities are basic. The room and the bathroom were clean and well maintained. Be sure to bring your own shampoo, hair dryer, and any other toiletries as only soap is provided. There is plenty...

I have just stayed in The Pearl Hotel in maadi for 2 nights and it was amazing value for money. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the hotel is clean and comfortable. It's very quiet, as a woman staying here alone I felt very safe. I would definately come back here again.

I travelled to over than 50 countries worldwide, had to stay in different hotels with poor service, but this is the worst ever... Room smells cigarates smoke, bed is uncomfortable and with stained old bed sheet, cleanless of the floor suspicious, old gurniture... And seriously prefered to leave in the morning without breakfast....really basic food. Staff were however friendly, and...

This is a nice cozy place in the quiet suburbs of Cairo, so it is not close to the sights but it is close to the metro, walking distance and taxis are everywhere to take you to where you want to go. Room was not small, bathroom also good size but both dated but ok and clean. Breakfast on the...

Very surprised at some of the other negative reviews. The Pearl is at the top of its class among 3 star hotels in Cairo. We have stayed at the Pearl Hotel now three times within the past year, including an extended stay over more than a month. The staff are the best--courteous, responsive, attentive without being overbearing, and accommodating. The...

I booked 10 nights in this hotel and experienced my first ever theft while travelling. I went upstairs to breakfast and within 20 minutes my iPhone 4s was stolen from my locked room. The management was not helpful, defended their staff and left me sitting in the lobby for almost an hour waiting for a response from housekeeping. The manager...
