The Sofitel was a fantastic experience- the staff were uniformly friendly and helpful.
The hotel must be a renovation of a relatively old building and it works very well.
The common spaces all link into each other by a walk “along the Nile”, with all...More

Thank you for your question. From airport to the hotel you can catch taxi or arrange with hotel to be picked up from the airport which of course will be more expensive. I prefer you catch taxi because they have have meter to calculate the price. As sisters, yes it is safe to travel to Egypt however you should be extremely careful with your documents and personal belongings because it's poor country!!! You should also learn how to bargain when shopping at their local markets. Last time my family travelled to Egypt, they come across nice private taxi gentleman that they trusted to tour around and he was with nice sense of humour. If you need his contact number please let me know. Wishing you best of luck with your holiday trip to Egypt
