Detailed Reviews
One of the best hotels in Cairo, no doubt. I stayed here twice
Pro's;
The location is superb
security fantastic
Service, generally amazing as well (both at restaurants and at concierge and front desk, but had a weird experience at spa**)
Chinese restaurant was actually so good I actually ate here on both stays.
At breakfast I was treated like a prince, with the best service I have ever received.
I am a single traveler, and upon check in my second visit, I was given an upgrade, but they changed my king sized bed to two beds, and I called down and said I would prefer a downgrade if it means getting 1 large bed instead. They said they were sold out but would send someone up to fix the bedding situation, at which point they put the two beds together but still had separate bedding but gave me a queen sized comforter.. So I when I returned to my room after dinner, I had to call down again and mention the bedding issue. They came upstairs and asked what I wanted them to do, and I said turn it into a KING bed!! so finally, they put the two beds together, but I could still feel the crease between the entire stay, and they still only left me with an undersized comforter. It was all very strange.
In the spa I was using the hot tub in the mens area, and I got out and went to get a towel and the service man in the room came up to me and told me not to get any water on the floor or else he'd have to clean up after me........it was most bizarre, if he was watching me in the hot tub with no towel, why didn't he present me one? why did he scold me for getting water on the marble floor of a spa room when that is part of how it works? I wasn't making a mess in any way. and quite frankly; this was his job.
It was very weird and very rude to be spoken to like that.
Otherwise, this is a great hotel for Cairo, but not one of Four Season's best.
I do recommend this however because between this and the Ritz Carlton, they have the highest standards in the city and the best locations.
Concierge was amazing.

This is really one of the best hotels I have ever been to. I stayed 3 days there and took a Nile view room.
I will start with the Covid-19 precautions as they are the main concern now, they take care of everything from the moment you enter the hotel and I really liked the way they are sanitizing the rooms and the whole hotel. There are masks, hand gel, wipes and Ethyl alcohol in everywhere you go.
The Nile view from the room balcony is more than perfect you can actually see the pyramids from there additionally to Cairo Tower and the amazing Cairo lights at nights. The Food was perfect, I tried Zitouni for breakfast and dinner, 8 Eight Chinese restaurant for lunch, Pool Restaurant for lunch and they were all very delicious. The pool was very nice, the service was perfect in all over the hotel, the representatives are very decent and helpful. Thank you for this amazing experience and we will surely visit it again soon.

The Four Seasons NEVER disappoints. The hotel itself is especially gorgeous with Murano glass chandeliers in rich colors throughout the restaurants and common areas.
The rooms are spacious and well-appointed with lovely linens and towels. Beds are comfy. Everything you would expect to have in a room is there - safes, luggage racks, shoe horns, slippers, robes, and toiletries.
The staff is top-notch. A special shout out to Omar, one of the concierges, as he was super helpful! The staff are truly at your service.
The restaurants are excellent. We tried Bella (Italian), 8 (Chinese), Zitouni (Egyptian), the Upper Deck (tapas, sushi, and assorted light meals), and the Lobby Lounge. The food and service were excellent across all the restaurants and lounge. Zitouni also has an extensive breakfast buffet, with anything one could possibly want.
We could not have had a more pleasurable stay. Highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights with some family and relatives on a tour of Egypt. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. There was an easy chair and ottoman in the room. The room contained several universal wall plug outlets. The bathroom had a double vanity, a tub, and shower. There was sufficient closet space in the hallway. We had a Nile view room (#1615), with an appealing scenic view of the river from the balcony. We enjoyed watching the boats on the river.
Hotel staff were friendly and spoke and understood English very well. The hotel had an ATM that belonged to my ATM network (Plus); it had a 7% exchange rate. The breakfast buffet area had lots of appetizing choices.
One thing I observed is that hotels such as the Four Seasons have removed information about the hotel that used to be a binder somewhere in your room; I suspect it was removed due to concerns about possibly spreading coronavirus. There should have been handouts available at reception with key information—location and hours of restaurants, location of breakfast, hours when swimming pool and spa are open, map of property, whether water in the hotel and restaurants are filtered, etc. As an alternative, this info could be put on the hotel website, but that was not the case.
I observed one thing that travelers should be aware of. For meals, you pay a 12% service charge and 14% VAT (on the base charge plus service charge). On the menu at the Zitouni Restaurant the first night, I noticed a comment in small print that noted that city tax would be added to your bill if you charge the meal to your room. And that is true. When I checked the final bill for the room, the meal charge was indeed higher. A 1% city tax and a 0.14% R.C. VAT (both on the base and service charge) had been added to the price of the dinner bill. Be aware that you may see charges in LE (Livre Égyptienne) rather than EGP (Egyptian Pound), because of a preference for the French over the British (former colonial rulers).
I had one unpleasant experience at the Four Seasons hotel, which led me to downgrade my rating of the hotel. One night we dined at the Bullona Restaurant. I didn’t realize it until we were already seated and eating, but smoking was allowed everywhere in the restaurant. I asked if there was a non-smoking section, and I was told no, that the theme of the restaurant was to represent an outdoor café complete with smoking. I am very sensitive to cigarette and cigar smoke, and it ruined my dining experience. The hotel should have forewarned us about smoking being allowed at an indoor restaurant.

My husband and i stayed for 3 nights in premium room celebrating our anniversary. We made the right choice by choosing the hotel.
We were check in by Franchise and Kareem who both were super professional and nice.
The room is specious and view on the nile was awesome-, super clean and the bathroom was specious and clean too.
The house keeping on daily basis used to do an extra mile in cleaning and adding some personal touches to ensure our comfort and pleasure.
Tv channels were rich specially in Arabic and the English speaking content were great too.
Location wise the hotel is on the nile corniche unfortunately nothing is around you. You will need to pick a taxi or uber to go anywhere!
Breakfast was good but the service was awesome during it. Really liked the staff.

We stayed here in February before and after our Uniworld River Cruise. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff was fantastic. Our deluxe king room was quite large and had an outdoor patio. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the view. The room had a king bed, dresser, lounge chair and a small table with two chairs. The bath was also large with a separate tub and shower. There was also a coffee/tea service area beside the closet and wi-fi was free throughout the hotel.
We were told not to drink the water, not even to brush our teeth. The hotel provided several bottles of water twice a day. (We could have asked for more, if needed.). Security was very important both at the hotel, on the cruise and in the towns. We never felt uncomfortable at any time. Each time our tour bus pulled onto the hotel property, a bomb sniffing dog checked out the bus. As we entered the hotel, we had to place our possessions in an x-ray machine. The security people couldn’t have been nicer!
Our room included breakfast, which was a feast in itself. Everything you could ask for was available! We also had drinks and snacks in the hotel bar and enjoyed the comfortable setting.
Both stays were exceptional and I can see why the hotel is so popular with the tour groups. The hotel is large enough to accommodate many visitors. Would I stay here again if I return to Cairo? Definitely Yes!

This is a large hotel in a central downtown location on the Nile River near the major roads to the airport or the Giza Pyramids. Services and amenities are what you would expect from a Four Seasons hotel. The rooms were large and nicely furnished and we had a room on a high floor with excellent river views. The food is excellent but fully priced and drinks in the bar are some of the most expensive in the world. While very nice, the facilities seemed somewhat dated and may be due for a refreshing.

We just had an exceptional trip to Cairo and the centerpiece was the experience at the Four Seasons Cairo Nile Plaza.
Our trip started with weeks of planning, which is no small feat during COVID. We chose to correspond with the hotel via email to ensure nothing was lost in translation. Every question about the stay was answered expertly and completely by the reception (Ms Mourad) and concierge teams (Ms Aya, Mr. Attia, Mr. Kamal, Mr. Maddah). The teams made sure our PCR test reports met new Egyptian government standards, greeting and transfer at the airport was seamless, and Ms Aya’s greeting, check-in, and delivery to our exceptional room was welcoming and exactly what we needed after 20 hours of traveling.
We booked two days of private tours through the hotel each tour lived up to the promise that our history books provided. Memphis, Sakkara, Pyramids, Bazaar, Museum. Fantastic.
Lastly, the stay at the hotel was fantastic as well. The rooms overlooked the Nile and the Pyramids, but what really stood out was the hospitality at every turn. Our daughter has a nut allergy, and from the second we arrived, quite literally every staff member was aware before we even entered the restaurant. The staff at the pool was fantastic, the staff at breakfast at dinner was a delight; sharing their recommendations for their favorite Egyptian foods. I wish I could’ve remembered the names of each of the wonderful people that greeted us at every turn, but there were so many that it is impossible. Just know that the entire staff is phenomenal!
Finally, when our trip carried us on to Sharm El-Sheikh, we discovered the Nile Plaza had called Sharm El-Sheikh to communicate our daughter’s nut allergy.
Again, while the accommodations were delightful, it was the Four Seasons Nile Plaza staff that made our trip a truly spectacular experience.

Stayed there twice this month, pre and post our Uniworld cruise.
Coming from the UAE and it's five star hotels the Four Seasons Cairo was not what I espected. It is a rather dated hotel, the superior city view room was OK at most, nothing fancy. Nice Occitane amenities however. Reaching out to management in advance on the app to try to get a Nile view room on the second stay produced a negative answer.
Breakfast was very nice and served until 11:30AM, one thing to pay attention to however, if you go to any restaurant in the hotel and do a room charge the hotel will add another 1% tax on top, so the amount on your final bill is higher than what you signed for. Very unusual practice.
Service was generally good but with some issues, it took several attempts for Housekeeping and Guest Services to understand "shoe shine service" (brought me a shoe mitt and wax), restaurant had poor lighting in the side room where we had dinner, on the day of departure my key stopped working at 11:40AM and the front desk started to explain that this should be expected in spite of the 12:00PM chekout time... It then took a good 15-20 minutes for someone to come pickup our luggage.
Nothing major but not up to expectations for a Four Seasons.
