We checked-in late night immediately after landing and only stayed for a night as a part of a tour package on a way to explore Egypt. Front office staff was quick, polite and efficient, generally the entire staff is very nice but that can't compensate for the dirty towels and bedsheets. The remote controls for the air-conditioning and TV set did not have any batteries in them, which means that we had no control over the room temperature, which resulted in an uncomfortable sleep. Furniture is old, there were no light in the corridor, breakfast was below par. The story goes on and on. To cut a long story short - I recommend avoiding this hotel

Just returned from our third holiday at the pyramids view and again we were shocked from changes they made to the hotel - it was wonderful. The pyramids view hotel services, cleanliness and staff are not to be bettered they attend to our every need - you only have to ask. I would recommend anyone to go and enjoy the having a standard hotel for a reasonable prices for those of low budget - this time we had a pyramids view , last time was pool view , my wife and i enjoyed having the Dinner in a Romantic momments beside the pool , i heard from receptionist they maybe next year the musiem will be moved to a place near by , Just in the process of booking again for 2011 but for business trip .

We stayed at this hotel as a part of our tour with Kumuka so we didn't have a choice. The rooms were decent. They were clean and everything was in working order, although others on our trip had no air conditioning. We found the staff were helpful and provided good service. We are not picky eaters so we managed just fine with the breakfast buffet. There was a lot of food available (toast, omelets, cereal, fruit, tea/coffee). We found similar breakfast buffets in other restaurants. We did not like the location of this hotel. We actually didn't even have a view of the pyramids, go figure! Also, it is out of the way of stores and restaurants. We left one night to find a place to eat and after 30 minutes, we turned around and went back to the hotel. We couldn't even find a small

I stayed at this hotel while on a tour with 'Explore!' so I had no controll over which hotel I stayed at. The hotel was average. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. They had porters to carry the bags up to the rooms and the lifts looked ancient. The breakfast was ok - Egyptian style and nothing special. The pool was clean but had a bit of a boring shape - just a plain rectangle. Some rooms had a view of the pyramids and others didn't, it was pot luck. It's fine for one or two nights but for longer I'd stay somewhere nicer.

I really don't have too many nice things to say about this hotel. We stayed here as we were on an organised tour of Egypt and this was the selected hotel chosen by the tour company. Many people on our trip complained about no airconditioning, the fridge not working and the overal state of the rooms. The breakfast whilst no one was sick was nothing to write home about and the staff were very happy to overcharge on the drinks when we ordered them in the afternoons after returning to the hotel to relax. Our last morning the electricity tripped in our room and upon reporting this problem to the staff they simply couldn't care. I know that when travelling in different countries you have to be accomodating to an extent but I really think that since the larger touring companies do

I stayed in this hotel on 17 & 23 January 2010 on my trip to Egypt with Ramses Tours. Great view of the three Pyramids. The first night's room was cosy (I stayed on 5th floor); bathroom comes with hair dryer which I loved most. But on 23 Jan, I was arranged on 3rd floor with no hair dryer and the sliding door to balcony could not be closed. Balcony is dirty probably due to sand blew from desert. The elevator broke down often. Breakfast is okay if you are not expecting much variety. Staff is friendly. But the bellman was overly friendly, which gave me a scare, as I travelled alone. This hotel is out of nowhere near town. Self exploration is difficult for first-timer to Cairo, unless you take a bus/taxi ride. Overall, the hotel seriously needs upgrading and face-lift. Staff

We stayed twice here during our tour with expat explore. As I knew this hotel offerred cheap rooms for tour groups I expected the worst. However, both our rooms were clean but I suppose you could say a bit dated. The air con worked fine and we had a good view of the pyramids. However, the breakfast was not great. Having had three breakfasts here the rolls were always stale and there was not much to offer. However, there coconut cake was delicious. As many contributors have said the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. However, if you do end up staying here copy this down. There is a stretch of some hotels with restaurants and also a kebab place called Felfelafel close by. Walk out the entrance of the hotel and turn right (the mosque is across the road from you.) Keep walking for

This hotel is the dirtiest place I've ever stayed in, all the furniture was tatty, the net curtains on the windows were black, all in all it needed cleaning, the place was thick with dust and the paint work needed a good wash. When we got into our room the front door had a 2" gap at the bottom and we could not lock it, all the cupboard doors were hanging off, so were the switches and sockets, our bathroom sink was blocked but eventually cleared and poured out of the U bend onto the floor along with brown muck that looked disgusting, water constantly poured out of the top of the tap, the walls in the room were dirty. The worst thing was the restaurant , dirty seats, place mats were disgusting and still had old food stuck to them , we were served raw chicken to eat, along with a

We only stayed here because our tour package with Kumuka put us there, which I am still very upset about. Let's start from most disgusting to annoying: 1) cockroach on the breakfast buffet bread plate 2) filthy placemats in the restaurant, along with filthy/dusty carpet, curtains and bed cover in the rooms 3) location is completely isolated: no restaurant or grocery stores within walking distance, there is nothing nearby the hotel. We were told to have dinner at the hotel restaurant, but after the cockroach incident, I just could not trust the restaurant. 4) the hotel is right opposite of the mosque as well; light sleeper like myself, with ear plugs, will still wake up by the first call for prayer each morning (at time of stay, it was around 4:30am) 5) the hallway of the rooms
