This was an amazing and inexpensive hotel. They agreed to keep all of our souvenirs for us safe while we travelled the country on a tour. When we came back to stay for an extra week, they upgraded out room to a 2 bedroom suite, with 4 flat screen TVs, full bath, sitting area, etc. WiFi worked best from the... More

You get what you pay for here. The room was very spacious, which was great because there was 3 of us staying in the room. Our hotel room had 2 bedrooms and a living room. One bedroom had a queen bed and the other 2 twins. The hotel is old and everything is outdated. I didn't want to touch the... More

We stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour and were sufficiently underwhelmed by all aspects of this hotel. The room itself was fine, but the shower was consistently cold and the shower head found it difficult to stay mounted to the wall. Breakfast was dismal with no choice given; rather you just sit at a plate with a small... More

Went to this hotel as part of a tour. It is not in a good location firstly. The rooms are old and dated. Our room had not been cleaned and we had 3 room changes and a 1.5 hour wait till we had a 'clean' room. It was like pulling teeth to get towels and in the end I just... More

This hotel, chosen by Intrepid travel group not me, was very disappointing! The staff generally unhelpful and could have cared less if we were there or not, a group of 15 customers. The restaurant staff, except one nice and fast man, we're so slow, and unfriendly. The rooms were clean, but the foyer, stairs, air conditioners in our room all... More

I was on the top floor. I had three nights booked but stayed for one. Debris all over the floor due to never being hoovered. Room smelt damp. Unidentified brown stains on the blanket (!). Breakfast was inedible - dry cucumber, grey eggs and dry stale smelling hummus (I was at the end of a middle east tour, I can... More

Although it is in a relatively good position the hotel itself is quite lacking. The wifi was not working, with staff being insistent that it was (4 different devices cannot use it, it is not working!) but eventually let us use another network. The room itself was not vacuumed before we arrived, there was dirt and small debris all over... More

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of an Intrepid tour. This is my second trip to Egypt & have stayed in numerous hotels, I would recommend this one based on its value for money & location. The hotel itself is in a nice part of Cairo, it is not in downtown or super close to tourist attractions,... More

Quite a decent hotel. 6 or so floors with a lift. ATM right across the road and a few good food places within walking distance. Google maps says pyramids are 15min drive away, but it took us more than 1hr at 2:30pm, and 2 hours to get back a few hours later. Keep that in mind when planning your day.... More

On the fancier end of the budget spectrum, the Crillion's best asset is its location: downtown Giza is at your doorstep, close to excellent shopping, banks, supermarkets and restaurants. Attractions (pyramids, Cairo Museum, Cairo Tower) are a £10-20 LE taxi away, and the area is safe and bustling without being overwhelming. Hotel service and quality, on the other hand, is... More
