Me and my fiance were trying to find a place with good food and a decent view of the pyramids. We managed to found The Rooftop Restaurant at Marvel Stone Hotel and I can assure anybody that there is the best food and best view's. Our waiters, Azim, Mohamed and Omar were very attentive and polite. The chef, Aam, cooked gor us thr most amazing chicken strips that you can find in Egypt and one thing that most of the restaurant gets it wrong are the chips, well in this place I guarantee fresh chips cooked amazingly. If we ever come back to Egypt, 100% we will be staying here. Many thanks to all the team!

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The view of the pyramids is amazing and the staff are really helpful and friendly. It's a great location for visiting the pyramids which the ticket and entrance is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There are also plenty of ATM's and pharmacies close by. The hotel organised a tour for us, picked us up from the airport and dropped us back to the airport. The restaurant food is pretty good too.

This was the worst experience i have had. There were no duvet covers on the duvet and when we asked for more pillows they would not give any saying that four is all they give (we were a family of four). On top of that the wifi was not working and we were told on three different occasions that they will look into it but did not bother. There were ants on the toilet roll and a glass pane missing from the shower and a hole with wires exposed in the floor. Breakfast was fruit yogurt and croissant. Although breakfast was at 8 they did offer it earier to accommodate us. However the hotel across us was getting hot food and had breakfast before 7.30 am. There were no windows it felt like we were in a jail. I would spend a little extra for a more updated hotel than look for a hotel close to the pyramids.

The receptionist Saka, was so helpful, friendly and polite. Our stay here was short but good. The food was not great but that was my experience across Egypt. The roof top view is great and location to the pyramids is great too. Unfortunately The surrounding area is very dirty. The bedding was also very dirty.

The good… Staff on the front desk are super friendly. Very helpful. Very happy to help with travel, tours and aways welcome you back with a smile and a chat after a trip out. Fantastic view of the pyramids, with a roof top terrace where. you can sit at any time of the day, with no pressure to buy drinks. Very close to the entrance to the pyramids. Free taxi from the airport. Easily found the driver on arrival. It’s a cheap place to stay. The not so good… The hotel is in a back alley, along side where the horses are stabled for the evening. We were there in February so the smell wasn’t to bad. But the horses run freely in the evening so it can be a bit nervy getting past them sometimes. Breakfast was basic. Mediocre. No orange juice included just tea or coffee. Hotel room isn’t to clean. Shower door missing. Sheets were clean but top quilts were dirty and stained. Very unappealing! It could all do with a good scrub. We did have a view of the pyramids but directly outside the window is a lot of debris, dirt and rubbish. At around 5.30 the local roaster starts to crow and continues for around an hour on and off.

This review is based of my experience December 2021. I was so excited to book this hotel for my NYE weekend stay. Im not a luxury traveler so I'm used to staying in small budget hotels. I booked two rooms with pyramid view and airport pickup more than a month in advanced. When I laded, the staff never showed up to pick me up. When I called to see where they were, they stated they didn't know I was coming and couldn't go for me. I said no problem and took a cab. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff told me that my rooms weren't ready and I would have to wait till the next day to get the Pyramid View rooms that I had booked. They gave us a room with no hot water and only two towels for four people. The next day I asked for my rooms and they kept stating they weren't ready and ignored me completely. We never received any room service, never got the rooms I asked for and they were completely rude to me when I would ask for extra towels. It was so uncomfortable at the NYE dinner because I paid $60 to be there and they didnt even acknowledge me and my family there. After the second night, I asked for a refund for both rooms since they only gave me one, and they didnt want to. They wanted to charge me the two Pyramid Views that I never received. I finally was able to get a partial refund and I left days before my check out. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is an isolated hotel near all the horses used for the pyramids. Theres a strong smell of horse and its hard to navigate from the hotel. This experience really affected my vacation and I wish the staff would've showed that they cared since I waited two years to visit Cairo. What a disappointment.

What is good: the attitude of the staff polite and helpful and the panoramic view of the Pyramid Complex on Giza. What is bad: 1. the hotel is surrounded with horse stable and pooh is everywhere that the smell was really bad. We wear mask most of the time due to COVID but it became useful too to avoid the smell. 2. The room was dirty. I have to request the housekeeping to replace the beddings in front of us to ensure cleanliness as we have seen hairs in the bed covers. Bathroom was dirty. Refrigerator appeared not been cleaned for days. Shower room is not even covered with curtain. Disposable cups were available but it looks like been recycled, we never used it. In general the place is filthy. 3. Zero adherence to COVID protocol. 4. Airport pick up was really bad, I assumed the hotel hired private car without any information regarding guests. I am giving this review to create awareness to future guests and also inform the management of the hotel that they are not fair to publish pictures which are not true. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
