The room was not serviced although I asked for that, it should be done without asking even. The booking was not showing at the start and instead of checking from their side they washed their hands off and asked me to check the the supplier and claimed they stopped dealing with the online travel agency I booked from, Surprisingly they received the booking from same travel agency the next day but ofcoarse I had to pay again for the first night and get refunded later after spending one and half hour to check-in. Can't imagine that the night manager was wearing a Tshirt and chewing a gum! The furniture is ok if you get a room in the new building. Room amenities need to include hairconditioner at least. The breakfast was OK as well but should be until 11am at least as 10:30 is early and better to include more varieties. There were no triple rooms, they provided a double room with extra bed which made the room very tight. No heaters in the swimming pool and it is relatively small. The location is the only good thing

The hotel is old and worn down. It's in a good location, many hotels are within a mile or so radius at the city centre and so is Pyramisa.
Wifi signal was good in public areas, poor in our suite and had to ask for new login details every day as the wifi pass expired after 24hrs. Breakfast was lovely, great selection including a chef's station where they make omlettes to your specifications.

Be mindful of the ever present scams and rip offs, especially in terms of travelling to and from the airport and getting around town. After landing at Cairo International we thought ourselves clever for haggling the price of a car down to 300EGP (€15) and considered it cheap for a 45min ride while the hotel transport would have been 500EGP.
On our way back, we just flagged down a taxi and asked for the meter to be turned on and was shocked to pay 85EGP (approx €4) for the same trip.
Save yourself the haggling and stress, head straight to taxi and pay what the meter shows.

The location of the hotel is great. The breakfast is also great. Clean and comfortable beds and good housekeeping.
However, The room that was assigned to us had a strong smell from condensation, the bathroom was in a poor condition in need of renovation. On the 3rd night we asked to have the room changed as the condensation was all over the ceiling in the bathroom and the smell was unbearable.
We had the room changed but the customer service was very very poor. The first girl at reception that dealt with our complaint was lovely and helpful but after that we had to explain the same issue many times. We did understand that the check out was at 12 and they needed to find us another room but the way they handle the hold thing was not very friendly. It was not a pleasant experience dealing with the people at Reception unfortunately. That was a shame as some people working at the hotel are lovely.
The breakfast was great and the customer service at the restaurant in the mornings were great. In particular a lady asking guests every morning at breakfast time if we liked everything or if we had any problems. The people at reception should learn from them.
The room that we were moved to was better, with no smell. However the bathroom still was in need of renovating but not an issue as the condensation issue was not apparent.
A real shame because the rooms are lovely. Just need more care and maintenance. People at reception need to be trained on how to offer a friendly/caring customer service.
We asked for a late check out and we were allowed to stay until 2pm which was greatly appreciated as we had a late flight.
We had stayed in the Pyramisa years ago and we had loved it. This time the experience was not the same unfortunately.

If you just need a bed over night, it’s fine and the breakfest is good. How ever if you need service and amemnities you should look for another hotel. I came in early after a night flight in very tired, knowing the ceck in was only 3 PM I requested a early checkin. I was told I could possibly get it at 12 PM wich I was happy about. Then when I came back to check in I was told to wait for 10 minutes. That ended up being 2 hours of wait and rudeness from the staff when asked about the situation. Of course the check in is for 3 PM but there were many people that came after me that got a room before me.
I also recomend booking a taxi through an online form and not in the hotel. I booked one taxi at the hotel for a 5 minute drive and it cost me more than the taxi to and from the airport. My biggest setback was the fitness room though, as I booked the hotel solenly for a fitness room. When I asked for it many(4) of the staff didnt even know where it was located. Finally one guy told me that it was in the pool area. When I got there the door was locked. Went down again to ask for what time it’s open and they said until 9:30 PM The time was 8:30 PM so I asked them why it was closed then and I got no answears. Then I asked them what time it opens in the morning and they said 10 AM so I didnt have a chance to use it, So Im left to wonder if there really was a fitness room at all. Finally I got woken up sometime after 10 PM where they asked me wat time I planned to check out. That was weird. The attitude of the staff is rude and not welcoming.

*Note to manager: If you are offering a fittness room use. People tend to use it early in the mornings.

*Apologies under this review are not taking for consideration. You should do that in person when you know the guest is not satisfied.

It’s a good hotel loa Ted in the heart of the city. A lot of major attractions are just 10 to 15mins away. We could see the Cairo tower from the room window. It’s close to river Nile, Khan el Khalil, tahrir square etc.
The property is old but looked after well.
Rooms are decent size, house keeping and room services are prompt and reception team is accommodating.
The only downside was the fact they charge you the commission on top of the taxes and room rate. Ideally commission paid to booking portals should be born by the hotel not its guests.
I didn’t make a fuss about it as it was just a 3 days stay but if you are looking for a long stay it’s better to clarify that during or before Checkin.
Secondly, the restaurant staff could be more prompt. The cleanliness of the dining room, food quality and variety was average.
It was a struggle to get warm milk for our kids everyday during breakfast. I don’t know why it was so difficult to arrange a cup of warm milk on request.

Together with my family I have spent one night (29/30 December) in this hotel. Pyramisa Suties Hotel Cairo is presented on Hotels.com web site as 5 stars hotel and we booked Deluxe Suite, 2 Bedrooms.
We arrived to the hotel on 29th December, late evening – at about 8 pm. It took about 30 minutes to check in as there was the queue and only one person in the front desk. We have got the key to room 158. After entering the room and after just a short walk across the suite we decided to request another room as this suite was very dirty, there was fungus on the walls in many places, it was cold inside, no heating system was working, there was no water in one shower, so only one shower was operational. It was really terrible and no words can properly reflect our feeling so I went immediately down to the front desk, waiting in the queue which was shorter (fortunately). We have got another suite – room 172 on the same floor. It was already after 9pm so we decided to accept this new room in spite also this suite was terrible (but looked slightly better than the previous one, however there was only one bathroom). Attached some photos from this suite. And now only a few comments what we have found in this suite: dirty bathroom with fungus (walls, shower, curtain, floor), dirty kitchen, including corroded sink, dirty fridge and kitchen cabinets, very dirty floor covering in rooms - small rubbish and stains, badly cleaned white cups in the kitchen with traces of tea or coffee from previous guests (big risk especially during COVID time) (fortunately we had our private cups), bottle of water was full of water but opened before our arrival so we don’t know what was inside (again – big risk during COVID time), no heating system, also no possibility to get heater from the hotel – it was very cold as during night outside temperature was only about 8 °C – so my family slept in my family slept in socks and jumpers.
And next day in the morning we realised that there are two different zones in this hotel – upper floors after renovation probably with better quality of the rooms and lower floors with rooms most likely similar to those we were accommodated.
We spend there only one night, but it was really enough. We wanted to leave it as quickly as only possible. In the morning no clear reaction to complaint, suggestion to keep contact via email. And later nothing. So lost money.
Pyramisa Suites Hotel Cairo is presented as 5 stars hotel and we booked Deluxe Suite with 2 bedrooms. And we have got something like “zero stars” room, with basic cleaning maybe a few times in the year.
Based on this experience, it is clear to me that this is a hotel that deliberately cheats by making a beautiful offer that it does not even intend to fulfil in part.

In the beginning, the first time I stayed in this hotel, and frankly, my impression is very wonderful in terms of reception, especially Ms. Azza Samir, and in terms of the staff in the restaurant of the hotel,
Also the cleanliness of the room and their great interest in terms of attention to the comfort and cleanliness of the place. I thank in particular Ms. Kholoud for arranging and cleaning the rooms properly It is very positively reflected towards the hotel. Finally, I would like to say thanks a lot for everyone and my stay will be with you in the near future.

If you want water with your lunch or dinner, you better hope that there is left over water from breakfast, or else you have to pay extra. The rooms were outdated and dirty. The carpets were a mess (patch work). We would not want to stay here again.

Nice hotel. Not a five star. A good 3* and possibly up to a 4*
Staff attentive. Room was nice but the one bedroomed suite we stayed in had NO VIEW. Frosted glass was the only source of natural light in the room.
The lift worked intermittently and we had to go down via the emergency stairs about four times. The breakfast was excellent. Huge choice of fresh fruit/salad/juice/breads and great cooked food choices too.
We had intended on eating locally at night but when we realised it’s not suitable locally (everywhere local looked filthy and we dare not risk it) We ate every night in our hotel and the choice and quality was excellent. We managed to get a beer and a wine which was nice.
Good hotel, no doubt, but don’t be fooled into thinking you’re getting 5* accommodation at a bargain price. You’ll need to cough up and stay at Ritz Carlton or similar price bracket to get that sort of quality.
For the money, we could recommend the place . The only thing that spoilt it was right at the end of the stay as we checked out. A very pushy customer services member of staff asked me to open the Bookikg.com app on my phone and took the phone off me and pressed maximum marks on the review section the sent it. Cheeky devil!! I’ve raised a concern with Booking.com. Be aware that their reviews may be slightly inflated if this practice is common.
As for Cairo…..😂😂😂

We stayed in a suite but was very dated. not a five star but just about passed the 3 star level. The hotel made an additional £30.00 Sterling charge after we had left the hotel for no reason at all. One thing is consist in the hotel other than the restaurant is that they will try and rip you off as much as they can including the SPA.
