Me and my friend visited Cairo a few weeks ago and we stayed in this amazing place in walking distance to the pyramids. We booked a room with city view but on arrival we got upgraded to the pyramid view room with balcony and it was spectacular. But above this what made our stay more enjoyable is the friendliness and kindness of the hotel staff. Special thanks to the lovely and always happy Hesham and his team who always made us feel like home and took very good care of us! Was a really nice and memorable holiday!:)
We actually stayed here in January 2020. All of the rooms have a pyramid view. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was splendid with a view of the pyramids. There was a wedding during one of the nights with a celebration in the lobby. A nice place to visit is the Mena House, where you can turn left out of the hotel and walk about a third of the mile and cross the street. Excellent upscale Indian restaurant.
To sum the hotel up, it is old and in need of renovations. Examples of where things are wrong: Torn pillowcases, Noisy inside the room from poolside and corridor (Almost an inch gap under the door to room). And to add, the shower fluctuates in temperature - not what you want when paying for this hotel. Definitely one of the poor experiences at hotels I have stayed in from the Marriott group. The only reason I am giving this a 3/5 is due to the lovely breakfast and kind staff at the breakfast. The location and views of the pyramids is nice if you are in a good spot / room with a view.
Heard about this Hotel because of its views, and it doesn’t disappoint. You can see the Pyramids not only from the entrance or the swimming pool but also from some rooms. Breakfast is absolutely amazing, with lots and lots of options. Friendly staff and security all over the place.
I stayed here while I was on a tour with https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Attraction_Review-g294202- such an amazing shot with the Pyramids at your doorstep. This was our first night on the magic of Egypt tour and that's exactly what it was... magical!! Highly recommend!!
I am going back through my pictures and sadly I haven't reviews many of the spectacular places I've stayed at! I was a guest for 3 nights at the Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa and absolutely loved it. The hotel is nice and serves its purpose. It's proximity to the Pyramids is second to none. Many of the rooms have that once in a lifetime view of the Pyramids! The rooms were a nice size, good food and the pool was clean. When i arrived late in the evening i was greeted by a worker who helped arrange a wonderful all day excursion/tour of the Pyramids and a few other things i was interested in doing. The second day the hotel helped get me a very reasonably priced taxi into town. As far as security, it was great! Armed guards at the front of the entrance so nobody can just walk around. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to other people.…
I absolutely loved my stay at Le Meridien. But I must say it was only after upgrading to a premium room (first floor). The standard rooms leave a lot to be desired. They are a little dated with old box TVs and older bathrooms. I changed to a premium room and I am glad to have done that. Everything else is top notch however. Their buffet breakfast was amazing. The staff was pleasant. The restaurant food was delicious. The common areas were clean and spacious. everywhere you look it reminded you that you were in Egypt. And the pool area... Well that one was the star of the show. You can see the Pyramids from the pool area. Felt like they were in your backyard. If I were to go to Egypt again, I don't think I would go anywhere other than Le Meridien
Ideal location for everyone who appreciates the view to the Giza pyramids. I was there in 2017 (not 2019) - there was no option to select the correct year here on Trip Advisor... I was one of the Resonance Science Foundation Delegates and was truly impressed. The location, food, staff, decoration, the pool and so on... top!
Nice hotel overlooking the pyramids. The breakfasts buffet has a lot of variety and the rooms are clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and the WiFi was fast. They also ha e. A business center with a computer and printer if you need. It was a great place to start and finish our Egyptian tour.
